You take that kind of look at me
Like I'm something you've never seen
And I don't know why I believe
I fake a smile to play along
But my heart breaks like a love song
And I crash down when I'm aloneI was right beside you, wasn't I?
I flashed you a small smile, didn't I?
How am I supposed to see
The white morning light,
When all my demons dance with me
Through the whole night?I'm in the back of the room
All alone, I can't see you there
Some candles are burning
They're lighting the path
Ghosts flicker in the moonlight
They're here to tell me you're not mine
I just wanna tell you
Something I've been hiding
Rain brought a little white butterfly
I don't wanna lose you
But I can't deny what is rising
Something pretty like a white butterfly
She lives down the street
And I stare down at my feet
It feels like I was buried alive
I'm screaming, don't you hear?
I'm crying, can't you see?
Only you can breathe me back to lifeDriving through this endless road
There's a lot to see in the world
But all I think about is you
A white butterfly lands on my windowpane
It's so pretty that I ignored the rain
I love you like you're something newCastles are crumbling down
Everything should've be perfect now
And I feel like I'm about to drown
I screamed from the top of my lungs
But when I opened my eyes, I was alone
Your arms are my home
I just wanna tell you
Something I've been hiding
Rain brought a little white butterfly
I don't wanna lose you
But I can't deny what is rising
Something pretty like a white butterfly
I finally got a new heart
After my old one was broken
But after it crashes and falls apart
Will you keep your promise?
To always stand by me
To protect me from the smithereens
