Nina's POV
"Good Morning Nina! It's a nice, sweet... Monday! It's. Monday!!! Back to school. My goodness! I gotta get up, I don't wanna be late on the 1st day of school... Grade 5, here I come. You can do this Nina, you can do this..." I said excitedly while getting out of my bed. I just love the 1st the of school! I get to meet new friends and teachers. I also get to learn new stuff. And by the way, I study at St. Claire's Academy. I studied there since Kindergarten, and promised myself to finish there.
"All ready!" I said while looking at the mirror, smiling. I was wearing a pink blouse, which is my favorite color, and black leggings. With my hair tied in the middle and wearing my pink flats and my loom band bracelets. And I went downstairs to eat breakfast.
"Good Morning Nina! Wow, your ready for school.. That's nice!" My mom said as I go down the stairs.
"Good Morning Nina! Your sister is still asleep, she'll be going to school at 8:00 a.m. I see that you are excited for your first day.. Right?" My dad said as he went down the stairs after I did.
My sister, Kyla, is just Prep, so she will be going to school at 8:00. But she also studies at St. Claire's Academy
"Of course I'm very very excited! I will meet-" I said as I got cut off.
"New friends and teachers. Plus, I will get to learn new stuff!" My dad said as he continues my statement. And I just saw mom laughing while she was putting food on the table and as I laugh too but got kinda embarrassed.
"How do you know that was about to say that???" I said while still laughing.
"Every parent know their children. Plus, you always say that when it's the 1st day of school." My dad said while my mom invites us to eat breakfast.
"You 2 must eat now. None of you wants to be late for school and work right?" I'll just eat with Kyla. I'm not hungry yet" My mom said as dad and I nodded and raced to the table.
"Ok mahal, we'll eat already." My dad said as we started praying.
"Wow, food! Lots of them! Thanks mama..." I said while looking at the food on the table after our short prayer.
"Your welcome anak. You should eat a lot so you can have energy when you get to work and to school. You 2 should hurry, you don't wanna get late." My mom said.
"I think Nina wants to be late..." My dad said jokingly while getting viand from the table.
"Of course not.." I said while rolling my eyes and smiling jokingly.
After eating, I brushed my teeth and sat on the couch surfing my phone while waiting for the school bus. I was listening to my favorite song "Treasure" by Bruno Mars, while checking my FB account and saw my friend Celine online. I was about to chat with her but I heard the beep of the bus horn.
Beep, beep, beep
It's time to go. I said goodbye to my parents and told them to say goodbye to my sister for me. And I went out of the house greeting our bus driver and conductor.
"Mornen Kuya Jho! Mornen Ate Patty!" I said as I went in the school bus.
"Good Morning Nina!" Kuya Jho and Ate Patty said. As I sat down on a vacant seat.
When I sat down, I looked at my left and saw someone I can't familiarize. She was wearing an orange blouse, black leggings, and black flats with her hair braided. I guess didn't seem to notice me seat beside her. She was gazing out of the window that time. Until, beep!!! The bus suddenly stopped when a group of students passed by, and I bumped with the person seating beside me in the bus.
