Final Mission: Avengers Infinity War fanfiction

Chapter 12

"What the hell?" Natasha muttered, Sarah clenched her fist, crap Thano's was coming and he has the time stone. She knew, she could feel it. How the heck did he get it though?! A blue portal appears then there he is, "Cap that's him." Bruce says and Sarah takes a step back in fear, why is she afraid now? She wasn't afraid back on Titan, so....why now?

Steve activated his shield "Eyes up, stay sharp." He says, he looks back at Sarah "Stay back ok?" She nods. The team begins to charge towards Thano's but they are either thrown back by the power stone or the space stone. Sarah looks back at Vision and Wanda to see they are both looking at her, "What is it?" Sarah asks, "Vision wants me to destroy him..." Wanda says.

"But I can't!" "So we need you do it." Vision says "What makes you think I can?!" Sarah cries, "Vision you are like a brother to me. Wise, protective, annoying." Sarah chuckles at that one, "But I can't." Sarah says "There has to be another way." Vision shakes his head "There isn't." They all look up to see Steve fighting Thano's, god he's getting closer.

"Wanda look at me." "No. I-I can't..." "Its alright.." Wanda looks down at Vision "I'll just feel you." Wanda's lips are trembling, but she nods and looks at Sarah "Give me time." She starts her magic and focuses it on destroying the mind stone, Sarah looks up to see Steve and Bucky get thrown to the ground "Pop! Dad!" Sarah cries out. Thano's looks at her and smiles. Oh shit.

Sarah looks back at Wanda to see the mind stone cracking a bit, Sarah focuses her energy and pushes back Thano's. He gets pushed back a lot, but he's still coming towards them just slowly, Sarah focuses on her energy just as Wanda focuses on hers. The mind stone breaks and Vision says "I love you." To Wanda before an explosion.

Sarah falls to the ground in exhaustion, she looks back to see Wanda crying and no Vision. Sarah feels like crying herself, Thano's walks up to Wanda "I know how it feels child. To lose someone you care about.." Wanda looks up at him "You could never." She says, that's right he could never know what that feels like. Kira helps Sarah up, Thano's then activates the time stone, Sarah feels her heart stop.

"No...." Sarah mutters, Thano's uses the stone to bring back Vision "No!" Wanda screams "Vision!" Sarah rushes to him but Thano's uses the power stone to throw both of them back. Sarah hits her head on the ground and she watches in horror as Thano's takes the stone right out of Vision's head and Vision falls to the ground dead. His eyes are lifeless and he has no color to him at all.

Thano's places the stone on the gauntlet and feels more stronger, he then turns to Sarah "Now for the last stone." Sarah gets up, her eyes glow red and the red veins are on her hands again "You aren't going to get this stone that easily." She growls, Thano's smiles "I wouldn't be so sure child." He's seen how protective she was of her friends back on Titan, he just had to find someone that she really cares about.
He sees Bucky and Steve and knows that those are the ones that she really cares about.

He aims the power stone at them and Sarah immediately feels the fight in her drain away "Crap no.." she muttered. Steve stands protectively in front of Bucky "It's ok Sarah." Steve said with that goddamn smile, Bucky gives her a reassuring smile "It's ok baby doll." He says. Sarah feels her whole world completely break away, "Say goodbye to your parents then Sarah." "WAIT! NO!" Sarah cries.

"Please, please don't!" Sarah yells "Then hand over the stone." Thano's holds out his hand while the other is still pointing the power stone at Steve and Bucky. "Sarah no." Sarah looks at her parents "I'm sorry..." she says sobbing. Sarah holds out her hand and the stone turns from energy into its original form, Sarah looks at the gauntlet. Thano's lowers it as he takes the reality stone and places it on the gauntlet.

Steve and Bucky rush to their sobbing child, "Sarah, why would you do that?" Bucky asks "I-I couldn't let him hurt you!" Sarah says wiping her tears "But I failed everyone." She says, suddenly Thor throws stormbreaker at Thano's chest, "I told you, you'd die for that." Thor pushes stormbreaker deeper into Thano's and Thano's yells in pain. He took a deep breath and said "You should've gone for the head..."

"No!" Thor yells as Thano's then snaps his fingers.
