"Alright everyone, the student exchange program will begin tomorrow. I already have a list of who will be going and who will be hosting." Said (y/n)'s German teacher, Mrs. Hirsch had said. The (h/c) Had secretly hoped she was a host. She got home sick to easily, and knew it wouldn't end well.

"Here are the people going: Josh, Miranda, Averie, William, John, Dave, Rose and Jade. That Leaves Tyler, Megan, Karli, Reba, (y/n), Taylor and Alex as the hosts. You will be escorting your assigned student home tomorrow after school." She said, hearing the last bell go off to end the day.

As the class left, (y/n) had begun to think about who she would end up hosting, and millions of questions ran through her mind. 'What are they going to be like?' 'Are they going to be nice or rude?' 'If we get along, would we still be in touch?' As many more questions kept running through, making her mind chaotic, she didn't realize she had already walked home.

She went inside, going upstairs and setting her school bag on the floor beside her desk, and begun to do her homework. This was her last year of school, no way was she going to fall behind now!

It had been about two hours when (y/n) had finished her work, and went downstairs to make dinner. She normally would be going to bed right now, but homework took longer than she expected.

-Timeskip to the next day~-

"Alright everyone, here's the exchange students. They will be here for spring break only, no more no less. Here's who is hosting who-" The teacher had begun, but (y/n) had zoned out, looking at each student. One particularly caught her attention. A muscular blonde with the brightest blue eyes she had ever seen.

"-and (y/n) will be hosting Ludwig Beilschmidt."

Wait, what?

(y/n) snapped back to reality, watching as the teacher pointed at her direction and the student, who she knew now as Ludwig, was now approaching her. She couldn't have gotten luckier with that. She was now secretly grateful there were more male exchange students than female.

"Hallo, im (y / n). Freut mich, dich kennenzulernen." [1]

"Hallo (y / n), ich bin Ludwig. Freut mich, Sie kennenzulernen." [2]

They greeted each other, and the teacher had allowed the remaining 30 minutes of class for everyone to get to know each other.

As the bell rang, (y/n) and Ludwig headed out, still talking to each other on the way home, once again, she not noticing they had arrived already.

"Well, here's home. Hope you enjoy your stay here Ludwig." She smiled lightly, unlocking the door and holding it open for the blonde.

"Danke, [3] I'm sure I vill. By zhe vay, vhere vould I be staying?" He asked, his husky accent making the (h/c) shudder internally.

"A-ah. Right, sorry.. Follow me."

(y/n) had lead him upstairs, into one of the bedrooms down the hall from hers. She watched as he entered, placing his things on the bed and had begun to unpack. She thought it would be best to leave him to unpacking as she went downstairs, putting on her favorite german band, Rammstein.

"Ah, I see jou like Rammstein.. Not zhat zhat's a bad zhing.. Zhey happen to be my favorite band." He said, making (y/n) jump a bit.

"O-oh yeah, our teacher showed them to us, Du Hast is my favorite song from them." She smiled sheepishly

Ludwig gave off a light and rare smile, "Ve have more in common zhen ve think."

-Timeskip to the end of Ludwigs visit.-

(y/n) and Ludwig had sat on the couch, both not looking forwards to tomorrow morning when Ludwig had to return home to Germany.

"Well, tomorrow will definately suck.. I had a fun week Ludwig." (y/n) sighed, slouching further into the couch.

"Ja, but i'm sure ve vill both stay in touch." He replied, giving her a piece of paper with a weird username on it.

"Skype i'm guessing?" (y/n) said, giving a small smile at her german friend.

"Ja, it's zhe only vay to keep in touch vith out phones."

(y/n) nodded, giving him her own username just in case.

"Just in case I can't find yours, here's mine."

"Danke (y/n). So, vhat shall ve do until tomorrow?"

"How about some movies? I've got a few good ones~"

"Sounds good to me."

-Another skip :3-

The next day had arrived, Ludwigs bags were already packed and they had already walked to the school where a bus was waiting to take the german students to the airport.

"Vell, I guess zhis is good-bye then (y/n)." Ludwig said, his eyes showing a hint of sadness.

"Yeah.. but we will stay in touch though, through skype." (y/n) stated, hoping to brighten the dimming mood around them.

Ludwig nodded, approaching the bus and muttered something under his breath.

"Ich liebe dich [4] (y/n)"

~Extended Ending~

(y/n) and Ludwig had stayed in touch like promised. Two years had passed since that day Ludwig departed back to germany and (y/n) heard a knock on her front door. She opened it to find Ludwig standing there. She nearly fainted from that but gathered herself up and threw her arms around him into a tight hug. Ludwig wrapped his own arms around her waist. They pulled apart long enough for Ludwig to give her a light yet wanting kiss on her lips and pulled away for air.

"Ich liebe dich (y/n)"

"Ich liebe dich auch [5] Ludwig." She said, as they both leaned in to kiss each other once again.

[1] - Hello, i'm (y/n). Nice to meet you.

[3] - Thanks
