After calming down I walk back to my house I look at my father who was watching a few storm clouds passing by, "I'm sorry that you did not get the chance to say goodbye to your friends, but you won't be their forever " he tells me, " how do you know? Did u sign me up for this school and how am I getting to school the sea is not safe" I tell him he nods "we know but it's the only way"he says. I sigh I go upstairs to my bedroom I close my door instead of slamming it,I begin to pack a few clothes since I will have to be wearing a uniform every day. I put in a few pictures of my friends and my favorite stuff bear which was starting to fall apart, I zip up my small suitcase and grab the handle, I look around my small room as a small tear trickles down my cheek, I turn around and open the door, closing it behind me I wipe my face and stand up straight, I go downstairs to see my father and mother talking with a man from one of the boats, I clear my throat, Mom and dad turn around, my dad gives a small smile as mom spike up " sweetheart we won't be able to go with you, your father has work in the morning and I'm helping the Evans babysit the twins" I nod once Dad comes up and gives me a hug I hug him back feeling the tears well up again, I burry my face in his shirt as the tears fall, he holds me and once I can compose myself I pull back and give him a small smile I give mom a quick hug before turning to the man he looks at me before turning and walking out of the house I follow turning once to wave to my mom and dad standing in the doorway, my dad gives me a small smile and a wave and my mom just stands there crying. I turn and follow the strange man to the docks.
