Dreams

Dreams, dreams were funny. I couldn't help but envy those who could dream, I didn't have dreams I had visions. My visions were scarier than any nightmare, Why? Because my dreams become reality.

Zane's Pov

I had always lied to my brothers and told them about my so called "dreams" but they never realized that soon after, they came true. I had a dream about the Green Ninja, though it's not exact they still predicted the future. "Zane? Are you okay?" Lloyd asked as he sat down at the table. "You've been staring at your plate for the past ten minutes" I rubbed my neck sheepishly. 'Oh, I guess it's been longer than it felt' I thought as I poked at my food, which I didn't necessarily need to eat. "Yes, I'm fine. It's just my mind is plagued with what the future holds." I explained. It had been three months since something bad had happened, and we were getting quite rusty. Jay and Nya had stopped our afternoon training sessions for weekly brunch. Kai was always running errands which always took three hours. Cole had gotten to know this girl at a local bakery and was always eating cake. And Lloyd, I didn't know what he was doing he just kinda stayed in his room. I was worried. "Zane, Lloyd, wanna come to the movies with us?" Jay asked with Nya on his arm. I smiled as I looked at the relationship forming between the two. I sent a look towards Lloyd and we both politely declined. "Nah, I don't wanna crash your date" Lloyd teased as he sipped on his orange juice. "Thank you for the offer but I too must decline this invitation." I said bowing out of this conversation and back to my thoughts. 'What is next for our team?' I wondered as I stood up to wash my plate off. I decided a nap was in order. 'Maybe I will find, our next adventure' I thought as I went into our shared bedroom and laid down on my bed. Purple Clouds rolled in on a blue day. Lightning struck as children played. One was gone and five remained. Tears were shed and new ones were made.  I awoke with a gasp. 'Purple clouds? Lightning? Only five? What do these mean?' I pondered as I climbed out of bed. "Zane, there ya are! The team is going out tomorrow to celebrate Nya's birthday, you coming?" Kai asked leaning against the doorframe. I was torn. 'Do I tell them about my vision?' I wondered, I decided against it. 'I'll only tell them if something starts to allude to it coming true.' I decided as I nodded. "Sure, I would be delighted to come." I replied as we walked to go start preparing dinner. "Great! Don't tell her though, it's a surprise" Kai explained as we approached the kitchen. "Affirmative." I said as I went to wash my hands.

Dinner was as normal, I stayed out of most conversations and thought about my vision. I was left with the task of doing the dishes so I of course started to day dream. Blue tears, Gray hearts, Red blood. I gasped as I dropped a plate letting it crash to the ground shattering. Everyone rushed in. "Zane! Are you okay?!" Lloyd asked as Jay and Cole rushed over to help pickup the glass. I shook my head. "It's about time I tell you, I fear I found our next mission" I explained darkly. Everyone turned serious as we sat at the table. "It started when I fell asleep these Purple clouds started rolling in, lightning struck and only five remained, and then there were tears, and blood" I said summing up the vision. Everyone looked at me before laughing. "Zane, it sounds like you just had a bad dream" Jay said as they all stood up. I didn't understand why my brothers couldn't see the danger that lied ahead. "But you see it's going to happen! And we need to be prepared" I advised waking after them. Cole turned around. "Zane, just try to relax before you fall asleep, we don't want to ruin Nya's birthday with a silly dream." Cole reminded me as he patted my shoulder walking towards our bedroom. I frowned. 'You'll learn the hard way' I sighed as I followed them to bed.
