Rain. That was all i could think about this Monday morning. It consumed my thoughts and I felt drained out of energy. Rain definitely was not something unusual here. After all, I lived in the state of Washington.

Weather was a safe topic. I mean, It's something i would normally talk to my "friends" about. Cool Right? That's the kind of friends I've got here. I got here like two months ago and still haven't found anyone to talk to. Like really talk to. We discuss school assignments, talk about boys and what our plans for the future are but never our out of school lives. Never.

For almost two months we've been struggling putting up with our first English teacher, but then we suddenly got a relieving news that he has gotten sick and probably won't be coming back for at least a couple of months.

I was so captivated by the raindrops that I hadn't noticed that our new teacher was already there. I lazily removed my gaze from the window and laid it on a tall figure standing right behind a teacher's desk. Astonishing, I thought. The new teacher was a woman. Certainly the most beautiful one I've ever seen. She had straight red hair and green eyes. It seemed impossible but from the distance i thought I could see her freckles. I felt as if an angel has reached out to me and touched my heart which started beating rapidly. I was so overwhelmed by her appearance that i haven't noticed she had already spoken. She even wrote her name on the blackboard. Evelyn Carlsson. Beautiful name for a beautiful woman.

She looked mature, that's for sure though it was impossible to tell how old she actually was. From afar her eyes looked absolutely mesmerizing and i simply couldn't stop staring. The moment our gazes met i felt strange tingling in my stomach. She quickly broke the eye contact looking somewhat embarrassed and... Surprised? I guess it's safe to say that i was no longer able to concentrate on anything that didn't concern the woman in front of me.

I wasn't delusional though. I knew she was my teacher. I just loved how she managed to brighten up my world, even if for a short while.
