It took about an hour for Caleb to become old news... well at least for tonight.

Few more drinks didn't help. I kept thinking about the consequences that Caleb's return could have for me. I couldn't rid of that sick feeling in my stomach, like I could throw up any second.

"We're out of JD!" someone shouted from behind.

Lucy was dancing with some guy. "Anne, can you?" she pleaded.

I nodded. "Kitchen?"

"Last shelf under the bar." she explained.

I made my way to the kitchen almost knocking down some half drunk blonde chick on my way when she came out in front of me out of nowhere. She gave me half confused look and got lost in the crowd.

I opened the kitchen door not expecting to find anyone in there. I should have seen this one coming since nothing went the way I wanted tonight.

Caleb was just opening the fridge.

I rolled my eyes and went straight to bar without even bothering to say something to him.

I found JD two shelves from the one witch she pointed me to.

I wanted to go straight back to the others but I could feel his stare at my back.

It made me nervous.

"What are you doing here?" I wanted to sound sharp. I failed. My voice was barely coming out.

"I just came to grab some water." He answered. I gave him a look, he knew what I was asking, and he just wanted to provoke me. He smiled. "I missed home." he opened the bottle of water. "Want some?"

"Don't sell me that shit!" I refused to accept his answer.

"Fine." he agreed unwillingly. "Don't take the water; poison yourself with all that drink if that is what you prefer."

Angry roar escaped from my lounges. "You know what I was talking about!"

"What do you want me to say doll?" he replayed with a question.

"The truth." it was simple. "I want to know what you are doing here." I didn't sound that mad anymore. "You were dying to go as far away from this place as you could. Why did you come back Caleb? Why did you come back now?"

"Because I got nothing to lose." he said. "Why wouldn't I give it a shot when I have absolutely nothing to lose?" he smiled taking another sip of water. "You on the other hand have... isn't that so doll?"

"Don't do this Caleb." I asked him.

"You two make a cute couple, you know?" he was entertained with my tries. "Do you think he would be mad?"

"You're an asshole." I shook my head.

"Guess that means 'yes'." he chuckled.

"I know this is all fun to you but I love Jared." I ignored him. "And you being here won't change that, no matter what you do."

"Oh..." he smiled. "You love him? Sweet." he made a face like he was going to be sick. "You loved him in L.A. too?"

"L.A. was a mistake." I warned him. "Mistake that won't happen again. So don't hold your breath."

"Mistake, OK." he nodded. "What about those 9 months, two years ago. You consider that mistake too?"

"That was different. I cared about you, beside..." I answered. "... We were kids back then."

"Kids?!" he chuckled. "I wouldn't call things that we did childish."

I rolled my eyes. "Look Caleb. We are history. That night in L.A. was a mistake, and I don't plan on repeating it. I'm with Jared and I plan on staying with Jared. I love Jared."
