I lifted the pot of Ramen Noodles to my nose and sniffed it. My stomach churned. I set it back down on the burner and turned around to grab a spatula from the drawer. I stirred the bubbling brown and green mush until it looked like the egg I put in it was cooked.

I sighed as I poked the mess. Stupid egg. I put it in to late and now its going to be awful. Ughh. My favourite food was Ramen Noodles with a half a cup of frozen peas and an egg, and i ruined it for the first time in my life. I moaned and pulled out a bowl two bowls, for Aunt Ferrel and I. Then I walked over to the trash can and reached for the cat dish that I had painted when I was 6 years old. In sloppy pink bubble paint it read Jeremee: the smelly cat.

I set the three dishes on the table and scooped the Ramen into each one.

"Jeremy! Dinner time!" I yelled out the window. I looked at the clock and was satisfied that dinner was ready and Aunt Ferrel would be walking through the door in less than a minute.

I heard Jeremy's cat door rattle and he meowed as he shot though the house and jumped onto the table. The cat sniffed his Ramen hungrily and I gave him 'the eye'. "Manners?" I said to him. Jeremy meowed and looked up at me with his cute kitty eyes. I leaned down, with my nose right by his and he licked it. That was the tradition of me and my kitty. I didnt really know why, but he seemed to like it as much as I did so we did it.

Aunt Ferrel walked in the door a second later and threw her stuff on the couch. She barreled to the table, gave me a pat on the head and started eating. She made a funny face at the Ramen, because I had cooked it wrong, but she didnt pursue it any further.

We scarved our dinners down in a record time of 5 minutes in silence. Aunt Ferrel got up as she usually did and washed our dishes and, as usual asked me how my day went.

"Well, boring. Still no boyfriend. But I did pass the career tests that I needed to so I could get that secretary job at the paper factory. Now I just need them to approve of me there, and I'll be off the streets aand you wont have to worry!" I told Aunt Ferrel proudly.

Aunt Ferrel turned around with a brilliant smile on her face. "Oh honey! Im so proud of you!!" She exclaimed happily.
