Prologue
He'll come back for me. Those were the words that constantly swirled around in my head. As soon as I had woken up, I had wanted him. But where was he. No one would tell me anything. They wouldn't tell me where he had gone and when he would come back. I was left with nothing but a pondering mind that often ached from the distant thoughts that had decided to invade my brain every second of the day.
They often tried to keep secrets from me but I knew better. I knew from all the whispers and gossip stories that went around that he left to go somewhere else. But I do know that he'll be back. He's not gone forever. I even heard the gossiping nurses once say that the family kept my awakening a secret from him. Why? I had frowned upon that and immediately demanded answers from my family. They still kept their mouth shut telling me that I'll see him soon.
