I woke up to a bright light shining in my face.

Was I in heaven?

No, that couldn't possibly be it. Or was I? I don't remember my bed feeling like soft, puffy clouds. Why does my pillow smell like aftershave?

I sprang up without thinking, jumping to my feet. I was surrounded by dark, grey comforters that definitely did not compare to my purple blankets that laid on my bed at home. I look around the room trying to remember how I got here. I started to observe where I was until I noticed a few pictures hanging on the wall near the small, bright window. I walked closer to see three boys in the picture. One looked like he was in a choke hold and the person doing it seemed to be enjoying it. I looked closer to see that he wore an 'Amelia' sweatshirt, which was the name of my middle school. Who did he look like?

"Gotta love middle school"

"Gotta love middle school"

I heard that familiar voice behind me in the doorway, not realizing he was there. I turn around to see Dean, leaning on the door frame. He changed his outfit since last night, he was now wearing blue Levi's with a red and blue patterned flannel.

"Shit, sorry, didn't see you there.."

How long was he standing there

"How long was I out? Did I really sleep here?"
I mentally palmed myself as I realized I had something important to do today but I couldn't put my finger on it.

"Don't worry, I slept on the couch." He joked

I must have gave him a look that made him add on to what he had to say.

"You.. uh, fell asleep after you made coffee. You sat on the couch and then fell asleep."

I made an 'O' shape with my mouth realizing that I just put a burden on him by having to deal with me.

I started to continue looking for my stuff

In mid panic, I hear a vibration come through the room.

My pager!

I continue to hear the constant vibrating as I look desperately for the small, bedazzled pager that I keep with me in case for emergencies. It continued to buzz like an endless morning alarm while pillows and sheets flew in the air.

No where to be found.

I stumbled upon my shoes, which laid next to a wooden nightstand. After putting on my shoes while looking for it, I heard the buzz even closer now, just to find it perfectly lying there ON THE NIGHTSTAND.

"Oh, thank God!"
I snatched it in my left hand while the right hand was in the process of putting my shoes on. Just when I finished I went to see what my pager was saying.

DEB 12

Aunt Debbie scheduled me a job interview today with Cincinnati Grace Hospital as a transfer and I completely forgot.
