3rd Person Point of View

It was a bright and sunny day on the shoreline. It was just like any other day for any other family, but for one it was not. For a father to daughter, a captain to a crew, and a husband to a wife. The captain rose prim as he was, he got aboard the ship as he waved goodbye to his beloved wife, with his daughter by his side they got aboard the ship to aid in the war. Before entering the ship, the father made a promise to his wife.  "Do not worry will we come back." He said as he held her cheek. "You always do, Captain." She said as she burst into her tears. "Mother take care of yourself and we will comeback as victors." The daughter said to reassure her mother.

As they said their last goodbyes and the mother hugged each of them with fear that they may no longer comeback. As the bells rang the father and daughter got a board the ship. On the shoreline they left the mother her hands in prayer as she uttered the words. "Lord, keep my family safe." While looking at the ship going farther in the vast oceans with tearful eyes.

On the ship as days passed by the war became bloodier and bloodier. Just as when victory was close to their palms. A traitor rose from the deck and shot the captain dead. His daughter saw it all happen out of panic she shot the traitor and as the last bullet was shot it marked the end of the war. The captain's ship rose in victory but the captain could no longer breath. "Father do not leave us!!!" The daughter desperately shouted. But no response he hugged her father's body. But it was already cold and lifeless. The daughter cried and cried until they had reached the joyous shore once more. There on the shore the mother waited patiently not knowing what had happened her heart was joyous for a while when she found out that they had won. But as the crew got down from the ship and she didn't see her husband nor her daughter go down. Fear enveloped her being. She hurriedly ran to the ship and on the deck she saw her daughter crying in her arms was the lifeless body covered in black. As she walked near her daughter and saw the face of her husband her arms trembled and her knees lost all its strength and she fell. The daughter rose her head and said. "Mother we are back and we are victors but father could no longer live." The mother could not answer as all her tears and sobs covered her voice. "It was a honorable death for he had saved the country" as the crowd said. The tears didn't stop pouring.
