You snapped your head up when Loki slowly opened the door. He was not the Loki you knew. His eyes were dark and cold, lacking any emotions. You tried to speak but nothing came out. This was not your Loki, he was something else now.
He slowly started walking towards you, his face full of anger.
You quickly got up and rushed towards a corner. You were too frightened, not knowing what he would do? Kill you? Or even worse than you can imagine?
"Loki..."
Your voice cracked, expecting him to change into the Loki you once knew. The one who was kind and caring towards you.
But he still had the same terrifying look on his face.
"You lied to me"
He spoke in a low menacing voice.
You shivered a little after hearing his tone. You were not familiar with this side of his personality. He was really furious.
You couldn't gather any words, you were so terrified with his behaviour that your knees gave up and you fell down and dragged yourself towards the far end of the corner. You felt the cold wall behind you but you still kept moving behind in an attempt to go further away from Loki.
You covered your head with your fists, not wanting to even look at his terrifying form.
"Lo..ki please "
You shivered under his cold stare.
You tried to go further past the corner again but you were just squirming in the corner. You felt extremely helpless as words couldn't just come out of your mouth.
Loki lowered himself infront of you, now at your eye level. You quickly lowered your gaze not wanting to look at him. Your hands still covering your face.
"I should have known you are a cheat"
He growled
You trembled more, tears running down your face as you shook your head, still not looking at him.
You were frustrated with your pathetic self, you couldnt even speak.
You broke down infront of him still scared to look at him.
A shiver ran down your spine when he held your jaw tightly in his hands forcing you to look up.
You quickly shut your eyes, not wanting to be scared anymore. This was enough to kill you almost.
"Tell me, mortal. What do you think I should do with you now?"
He roughly pushed your face to the other side and released his grip almost shaking you to fall on the left. Your head banged slightly towards the left wall.
"Do you even know the consequences of cheating with the God of Mischief and lies?"
He spoke slowly, his voice intimidating and causing you to shiver. You didnt dare look at him, still shaking with fear.
"Lok-i, they..they are lying. I didn't.. I didn't.."
You felt helpless as you couldn't control your sobs.
You heard him chuckle which made you tensed up.
"And why would they lie? All of them? Against you?"
He smirked and continued,
"Do you think you are that special?"
His eyes darkened again, your head was still down, and arms on your knees as you tried to find courage to speak for yourself. Your body still trembling mercilessly.
You shook your head
"Loki.. please"
You bit your lower lip, tears streaming down your face
You tried to blink your eyes and clear your head from fear to form a sentence in your defense
"Loki those people are lying"
Oh God, you are a God of Lies, you should know, yet here you are asking me to clarify. I mentally told myself but didnt dare to mouth it infront of his cruel form. I was scared.
"Hmm.. so they are lying and you are speaking truth?"
He spoke to himself, his voice was low.
"What makes you think I would still believe you?"
Loki asked in a low but scary voice.
You didnt respond. Your eyes still looking down. Why were you so scared? Why couldnt you even say something which is truth? You couldnt understand and this made you more helpless. It was as if you were paralyzed infront of him, with so much fear inside you. Maybe you were afraid he wouldn't believe you even if you tried and thats why you just didnt want to clarify anything. Or maybe you thought he would know you are not lying.
As you were still looking down, he smacked your face very hard which caused you to fall on one side. You felt shooting pain on your cheek as you held is tightly trying to figure out what just happened.
"Look at me when I am talking to you"
He shouted.
This made your head to go up for a while but his expressions were scary as hell. You looked down again
"I SAID, LOOK AT ME!!"
He shouted once again, this time much louder.
You snapped your head up looking at him with your lips trembling.
"They are lying ... Loki they are.."
You started sobbing. Shaking your head quickly.
Oh God, you were so pathetic!
"Y/n"
"Y/n wake up..."
Loki cooed.. his voice as soft as velvet..
You realized you were in bed, tears still streaming down your face as Loki tried his best to wipe it off with his hand and tried to wake you up as gently as possible.
You sat up on the bed, still in a state of shock. You looked at Loki.
Loki was looking at you, with his eyes full of concern
"Are you okay?"
He said in his smooth voice placing his hands on both of your shoulders trying to snap you back to reality.
You just looked at him. His eyes. It was full of concern, love and care. He was worried.
You sighed. This is my Loki. My Loki.
Loki rubbed your arms and asked in a soft voice
"Y/n what happened? Who are those people lying to you. Tell me, I'll teach them a lesson"
He told you innocently, giving you comfort as if you are a child.
You just stared at him. Happiness and relief on your face.
Your Loki is back!
You smiled at him. And as he was about to pull you in an embrace, you smacked his face! Neither too hard, nor too lightly but it was hard enough.
He was shocked and dumbfounded. He looked at you with his innocent puppy eyes asking for a reason.
You just smiled wider, satisfied you took your revenge. Loki pulled you in a hug but his face was still confused. His expressions were too cute.
He finally asked still hugging you,
"What did you dream about? Why were you crying in sleep?"
You didnt speak, just smiled because it was just a dream. He rubbed your back as he thought of asking you more about the nightmare in other way.
"Loki that was madness!" you answered still in his embrace.
You felt Loki chuckle lightly.
"Was it madness? Was it?"
He laughed at his own joke and you rolled your eyes and smiled.
