Past Love (Marauders Era)

Day One of Classes.

The next morning I awoke at 7 o'clock. I sat up sleepily and pulled back my covers. After allowing my eyes to adjust to the light of my room I stood up and walked over to my bathroom before showering in the hot water.

After I was clean, I wrapped my red fluffy towel around myself before I left the bathroom. I caught sight of my reflection and sighed upon not seeing the burn on my leg and my scar covered arms and the scar on my face. Yesterday I had cast a spell on me to conceal my scars from others permanently and I was happy to see that the spell was still remaining strong.

I walked out of my bathroom dried myself quickly and got changed into a clean red bra and matching pants before I began to rummage around in my wardrobe for my uniform. I pulled out my grey skirt, white shirt, my tie and my socks and got changed. I dried my hair with a flick of my wand and kept it down in its natural curls before pocketing my wand. I stuffed my Gryffindor robe into my rucksack, it was too warm to wear it at the moment. I quickly fed Oreo before I grabbed my rucksack.

I pulled on my sneakers as I hurried down the stairs. There sat on the couch were James, Sirius, Remus and Peter.

"Hey Hermione!" James grinned. "Did you hear that because of the foreign schools class doesn't start until 10!"

I froze and turned to glare at them with one of my shoes on and the other one in the process of being put on. My eyes narrow as I said, "And you didn't bother telling me? I hurried for nothing!"

"Sirius told us you knew." Remus said.

I slowly look at Sirius with my eyebrows raised and see him grinning. "I think you look hot when you're in a hurry with your legs showing and looking all flustered." He said in what I was guessing was his "sexy" voice.

At that moment Lily walked into the common room and smiled at me.

"Lily, does that offer to sit with you still stand?" I asked with an innocent smile.

"Have you already annoyed her?" Lily asked when she turned to look at the boys.

"It wasn't us!" James protested. "It was Sirius."

"Why am I not surprised?" Lily muttered sarcastically before she linked her arm through mine.

"Shall we go to breakfast, Hermione?" She asked me cheerfully.

"Yes, lets!" I laughed before I glanced over at the boys with a wicked smirk. "And lets go and eat all the bacon before the boys can!"

As soon as those words left my mouth the Marauders' eyes simultaneously widened.

"You are not touching my bacon!" James said with a small frown.

"You'll just vacuum it up!" Remus added.

"Oh yeah? Watch me!" I retorted before I gripped my rucksack and sprinted from the common room.

I heard Lily laugh as the boys yelled and ran down the halls after me.

"Don't let her get the bacon!" Sirius yelled.

I glanced over my shoulder and saw the boys running after me with an amused Lily close behind them. She smiled and laughed but her smile fell from her face. "Hermione watch out!" She yelled worriedly.

I turned to look where I was going but I didn't have time to stop. I gasped as I hit the solid body of a light haired boy from the Salem Wizards Institute.

We both fell to the ground, with me landing on top of him.

"I am so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going! Are you alright?" I rambled as I quickly climbed off of him, despite the pain in my arm from landing on it.
