Prologue
Darkness. A blanket of empty darkness surrounding me. Nothing but darkness for what seems liek miles and miles up ahead. Mumbled voices... Then a faint light... then more darkness. A loud kind of explosion, then the same voices again, louder this time, accompanied by the light, now brighter. shrill screams. flashing images. Fire. Blurred figures. unmoving bodies...gross...a blurry figure coming towards me then... darkness. suddenly i am overcome with unbelievable pain. so much pain... oh, why me?? splattered blood... everywhere. my eyes quickly snap open. where am I?
