Endless Love ("Neiko")

A Starry Night, Part 2

As Naomi stepped outside she looked at the slip of paper in her hand.

"Head to our favorite spot, my love." She read aloud.

Favorite spot? She thought. It has to be the park... our tree.

Naomi smiled endearingly at the thought and started walking.

It's getting dark.

With only a little bit further to go, Naomi noticed small lights in the distance. She started to get antsy thinking of what Seiko had planned for her.

She continued walking thinking of the possibilities, but slowed down as she got close enough to their favorite place to spot something amazing.

Naomi stopped almost completely and a huge smile crept onto her lips. On the floor in front of her was a path of roses and she could see some of her friends holding signs before the tree.

Ms. Yui was first.

Naomi walked closer and read her sign that said "WILL YOU" and was given a rose. Ms. Yui smiled and told Naomi to go on ahead.

She continued on and was met with Ayumi. Ayumi handed her a rose as well as she read the sign that said "GO." Ayumi hugged Naomi close and Naomi continued on.

Next was Yoshiki. His sign said "TO PROM." At this point Naomi was holding back tears and Yoshiki could see this. He handed her his rose and gave her a quick hug.

When Naomi pulled away she looked ahead and saw Seiko at the base of the tree with a sign that said "WITH ME" and a bouquet of roses. Naomi's eyes welled with tears and she chuckled a bit. Seiko was wearing a tuxedo and had a giant smile planted on her face.

Naomi walked up to her and she asked, "So will you make me the happiest girl in the world and go with me to prom?"

Naomi giggled and nodded quickly before pulling Seiko in for a deep kiss. Their friends and teacher 'awwed' and cheered.

"I love you," Naomi said.

"I love you more, Naomi."

Naomi replied, "Not possible."

"Yes possible..." Seiko answered.

Naomi placed another quick kiss on her lips and they rejoiced once more.

"This was amazing, Seiko."

"Oh, it was nothing!" Seiko answered modestly.

"It was such a nice gesture..." Naomi said, enamored.

"Yeah, we really had a hard time keeping our mouths shut when she asked us to help her out, right Ayumi?" Yoshiki added.

Ayumi chuckled and answered, "It was pretty difficult considering she told us so early on! I almost spilled the news on accident a couple times."

"Good thing you didn't!" Seiko said with a giggle.

"Oh, look! They're bringing out the food!" Yoshiki exclaimed.

Seiko chuckled, "It's always good with you..."

Meals were brought out to each table and everyone ate. Many chose a classic chicken parmesan with pasta, but others decided on a sirloin steak with rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and were content afterwards.
