Riley was convinced that Maya wasn't being herself anymore, that Maya was turning into her and she had lost herself. Riley just wanted to help her best friend, she didn't understand why Maya was so different now, she wanted Maya to be herself and live in her own world, not Riley's world.

"Maya, where did you go?"

Maya was practically catatonic the whole time she sat in the bay window with Riley, only make comments in a weak voice every once in a while. Finally, she got fed up and snapped.

"I'm still me! It's gonna take a lot more than hair and clothes and a boy to change that! You want me to go home?! Fine.. I'll go home." Maya said then she climbed out the bay window and down the fire escape.

Riley frowned and looked out the window she saw a shooting star and closed her eyes with a sigh. "I wish I knew what was going on with Maya." She whispered.

Maya was walking down the street when she looked up and saw a shooting star. She closed her eyes and let out a shaky breath. Tears slipped down her cheeks, she sniffed then wiped them away, then she took a deep breath.

"I wish.." She whispered out her wish then she saw a really bright light and tried to shield her eyes from it.

A horn blared in her ears, then she saw the car coming right towards her. Her body hit pavement and her eyes closed, then she felt like she was floating up in the air.

  ---------------------------------------

Riley was still staring out her window when she suddenly fell off the window seat, hitting her head off the floor and knocking herself out, then she felt like she was floating up in the air.

The light from the star faded away as the two girls laid unconscious on the ground.
