"Lily!" My roommate called out, "Phone for you!"
I walked out of my bedroom towards the living room, picking up the phone "Hello, this is Lily."
"Hi Lily, this is Mark. I am calling you to see if you'd like to join us in production of the Bohemian Rhapsody movie. We went through your resume and think you'd be a great fit. You'd be working closely with Rami, we can talk more details if you were to accept."
"Of course I accept!" I tried not to scream into the phone,
"That is excellent news, well we will fly you out next Monday..." Mark continue to fill me in all the details, feeling as if I were floating I tried to pay close attention to every word.
Monday of next week
Lily Carver
Read the sign a man in a black suit was holding. We locked eyes and I smiled, nodding my head. He tipped his hat as I got closer.
"Hi Lily, I am Bill. I'm going to take you on over to your location. I'll most likely be you and Rami's personal driver"
"That is excellent, thank you so much Bill."
On the ride there we got to know one another a little bit. Bill was an older gentleman, in his 60's. If you think of the cutest looking grandpa you would think of Bill. He was kind and witty, and I was glad that this wouldn't be the last time I would see him.
As we pulled up to the studio, my nerves came at me at full force. I hope that Rami and I got along and I also hoped that I was equipped enough to handle these next several months. Bill let me know that he would be taking my luggage over to the hotel we were staying at. I thanked Bill before hopping out, walking towards the building. Once the door clicked shut behind me I was met immediately by someone
"Hello Lily – oh they did not mention that you'd be so beautiful! My name is Joanne, I am Mark's assistant" Joanne chirped,
Sort of stunned I blinked back, "Thank you" I mumbled, "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you as well, if you follow me I'll take you back to meet everyone!" She grinned,
She was super nice from our brief exchange, but also super forward. As she began to walk I took note of her heels clicking, and how well she dressed. Looking down at my tattered chucks, ripped jeans and simple shirt I felt sort of out of place. I followed her until we entered a room, looking around smiling at everyone, noticing the voices slowly stringing out as people paid attention to had walked in. I did my best not to look like a deer caught in headlights, being the center of attention was never something I yearned for. I understood it at the moment, although it didn't make it any better. As I scanned the room I locked eyes with someone with soft green eyes. My eyes flickered, studying his face and hair. He was extremely handsome, and no this had nothing to do with the fact that I had a thing for green eyes. He looked like a chiseled man, yet a boy. Those eyes I think, because the jaw clearly could cut you with how sharp it was. I cleared my throat as Joanne began to speak, breaking eye contact and turning my attention to her
"This is Lily Carver, Rami she is your girl. She is one of the best, with excellent references. She is here to help you with anything," She smiled at me, I returned it and looked over to Rami and nodded my head once.
"Very nice to meet you" I smiled
"And you," He softly smiled as he stood up to walk over to me, "Let me guess, you're from Australia" He playfully asked,
"What gave that away?" I pretended to be shocked,
"I think it's the hair?" He smiled, I reached up to shake my curls
"I was thinking it was this accent of mine!" I laughed
"What accent!?" Rami looked at me wide eyed, a playful smile lingering on his lips
I laughed again, "I am from Perth actually."
"I figured you were from down under, well Lily Carver from Perth – I am looking forward to have you as my assistant."
Ben's POV
We were all sitting around talking and cracking jokes when Joanne came back with Rami's assistant, the last of the bit. She was stunning, and I was immediately attracted to her. Compared to Joanne who was well put together in her business get up, the bird next to her had crazy beautiful curly hair, eyes the color I had never seen before. I would say they were a bright hazel yellow? If that were a thing. She was wearing a simple outfit and yet looked even more attractive than Joanne's tight skirt. We locked eyes as she scanned the room, and they lingered a bit more on me than the rest. We both seemed to be studying one another before Joanne introduced her, she quickly averted her eyes back to her.
