Chapter 17

Onyx’s POV

I looked at Cleo shocked as Zane stopped in his tracks starring at Cleo with mixed emotions. Hate Anger Love and Want were all there but he shook that off looked at me then walked off towards the school. Cleo let out a growl and glared after his retreating figure her eyes slowly going back to the original brown color.

“Why. Why the hell did I have to get a dick head for a mate.”  She sat down on the ground and I sat next to her.

“Im sorry Cleo” I looked at the others and they slowly walked away.

“Do you think he can change?” she asked.

I bit my lip and looked at her “Im not sure”

She looked down knowing I didn’t think so I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tightly I sighed as the bell rang and got up pulling her up with me. “Come on let’s get your schedule and get to class.”

She smiled slightly “Yeah” we walked into the front doors and headed for the main office

Turns out I had every class with Zane but the ones I didn’t have with Brandon, Zane or Emily I had Cleo in so I was never a lone with him and he seemed to really hate that. I sighed as I walked over to my luch table with Roxy and Cleo, Dante had told her everything so she was bouncing a the face her friends were wolves and she was on our side with the Zane thing.

I sat down and laid my head on Xavier’s shoulder and he wrapped his arms around me in turn. We all talked and looked over to see Zane walking in to the cafeteria. And immediately the whole table went quiet Cleo was glaring as his eyes went from me to her and back again. I heard Xavier growl and I saw his eyes were black so I put my hand on his leg and he calmed down instantly.

We needed to fix this soon or we were going to have big problems.

Zane’s POV

I walked to an empty table and stared at theirs feeling conflicted and frustrated. I had just found my mate and she was amazing but I still wanted Onyx. I Found out my mates name was Cleo which was a sexy name and then a thought came to me.

I smirked and looked at both of them siting side by side I could see both their faces. I would take both of them I would kill Xavier and just take both of them. It was perfect I knew my eyes were shifting as I stared and at this point I didn’t care. I was going to have Onyx and Cleo in no time and they would be mine and mine alone.

Cleo’s POV

I looked over at Zane seeing him smirking and his eyes a blood red color and they got darker as he looked at me. “Umm guys.” They all looked at me then at Zane most of the guys glared at him Brandon and Onyx looked worried.

“Fuck” Onyx cursed and everyone looked at her. “He’s planning something” he smiled showing off teeth then and got up walking out of the Cafeteria. Xavier growled and went after him as Onyx tried to stop him.

Xavier’s POV

I growled storming after him ready to kill him now as I rounded the corner and was slammed against a locker. As I looked up at Zane I felt white hot rage course through my veins as I growled and pushed him away and he hit the lockers across from the ones I was leaning on.

“Stay away from my mate and Cleo you don’t deserve her after what you’ve done.” I growled out trying to keep calm I couldn’t lose it here.

“What’s wrong mutt cant contain the anger especially knowing your mate loved me and she can’t even say it to you.” He taunted trying to make me lose it and it almost worked to but I knew deep down she loved me. At least I hope and pray she does so I took a deep breath and smirked at him.

“then why have I touched her in a way you never have and never will?”

He growled and pushed me up against the wall punching me straight in the face. I pushed him back and he fell hard so i slammed my fist into his face repeatedly. Until I felt Onyx Grab me and pull me away from him knowing she was the only one to get me to stop as she dragged me away from him.

As the teachers and principle rushed over going straight to him and stopping me. She glared at me and slapped me across the face.

“What was that for!”

“your going to get suspended you idiot” she yelled

“It was worth it” I shrug looking at her “for you”

“She rolled her eyes “That doesn’t get you out of trouble.”

 The teacher came over and took me down to the principal’s office. As she dragged me in I looked and saw Zane sitting there glaring at me so I glared back. They sat me as far away from each other as possible.

He called us in one at a time to explain what happened then they called Onyx and Cleo in and I knew they were pissed by the glared we both got. After that we were both suspended for the rest of the week and no one was happy.

I didn’t know who to be more afraid of my pregnant mother or my fuming mate. As I was walking out behind my father I walked past Zane.

“Spend as much time with your mate know because soon her and Cleo will be mine.” He growled walking out and getting in his car driving away. I looked after the car and glared I wasn’t going to let that happen. Ever.
