All of her life, Juliet never felt loved nor did she ever feel at ease. From constant heartbreaks and disappointments; Juliet's heart suffered. Everyone wore their hearts on their sleeve, but they weren't as damaged compared to hers. There was a point in which she believed there was no cure and felt the most vulnerable. She could never figure out what was the reason behind her struggle and kept fighting for answers. Living in the city of love felt ironic to Juliet. At the age of 18, Juliet moved into a dorm where she met her roommate Stephanie. Stephanie and Juliet aren't close friends but they tend to help each other out at times. Juliet's parents, on the other hand, are constantly fighting; and it's been going on since she can remember as a child.
One day, Juliet decided to go on a stroll by herself to the Eiffel tower. She had no intentions to meet anyone but ran into an unknown person. "Ouh I'm so sorry," said Juliet. "Your fine, there's no need to apologize," said the stranger with a huge smile on his face. He formally introduced himself as Julian and proceed to ask, "I'm a really straightforward so, would you mind going out for coffee?" Juliet had no idea what to do, and suddenly both of their hearts started to beat faster; this made them both shy given the fact that they can literally see their hearts. Juliet had nothing to lose so she agreed to go out for coffee. "Great, i'll see you at 4:30 in Lafayette Cafe shop," Julian said as he left embarrassed. Julian seemed pitiful when he noticed Juliet's fractured heart, but this didn't matter to him. After that day, both Julian and Juliet couldn't stop talking to each other nonstop. It was clear that the feeling was mutual, but there was a problem. Juliet has never trusted anyone but she proceeded to give him a chance. Juliet was very happy being with him to the point where she truly loved him.
Everything went well after a year of being together. All of a sudden Juliet gets a strange text saying, "Juliet, we need to talk." The message was from Julian's sister Janis this made Juliet very anxious because she never had received messages from her before. "Julian died today." Juliet's heart ached and dropped to the ground, but luckily Stephanie was there for her. Juliet had lost the person who gave her hope, the person who made her feel special and loved. All of her hope and trust was completely demolished as if it was nonexistent.
Healing was the process that was really difficult for Juliet. She needed time to herself to think about her necessities. She realized that she needed self-love in order to fully heal and love someone else. Stephanie and Juliet became really close friends after the tragic incident. Without Stephanie, Juliet would've been lost and more afraid. After starting to have self-care and self-love, Juliet's heart slowly started to heal! This gave her joy to her heart.
Although 2 years have passed since Julian's death, Juliet still has trouble passing by the Eiffel tower; but for the first time in forever Juliet visited the landmark by herself. It was a gloomy day as the cold breeze hit Juliet's face walking towards the Eiffel. Juliet was surprised herself that she didn't have an emotional breakdown right then and there. She was more so happy to be there while reminiscing the good memories. Just as Juliet was about to leave the Eiffel tower she ran into someone new.
