The sun rose slowly over the horizon, it's stretching light briefly blinding my sight before settling into my vision, an array of colours and sudden warmth calming my mind for just a split second before continuing to read aloud, the mornings paper.

"- missing since May 13th, if seen please contact the following number... blah, blah, blah. The 20 year old female fits the description of long blonde hair, green eyes and a petite figure - height average of 5"6. Goes by the name of Paisley Noir".

Shaking my head, a hearty laugh fell from my lips as I toor the accusations into pieces, throwing the shards into the breeze that ruffled my up-tied hair.

Tilting my head back towards the dawn swamped sky, I inhaled a large breath of morning air before laying against the grass of the hill, my knees still bent as my eyes fluttered closed, my mind travelling to a better time.

JANUARY 9TH - LONDON, ENGLAND 1995

"-But Paisley, I need to ask you a question!" The pleading concern in his voice seeped into my veins, fuelling my adrenaline as I looked down the steep hill.

"Then you can ask me at the bottom!" My words were carried in the wind as I pushed away from the ground, my bike radiating every bump and stone through my bones as I tilted my head back, my long golden hair flying in the wind as my laugh echoed though the hills around us.

Hearing the same racketing frame to my own, I tilted my head to the side to see the confident smirk that I wished to see every night before my slumber.

"I'll ask you at the bottom then Pais" his own laugh filled my lungs with a new air as he sped in front of me, his black washed jeans rising further around his white sock covered ankles than the turned up ends had intended too, his Doc Martens and green oversized jumper enhancing his 'unique' sense of style; something in which I had fallen in love with many moons ago.

Reaching the bottom of the hill just moments before the following figure, I threw my bike to the floor as I took off through the trees, forcing my legs to carry me as fast as they possibly could.

"Pais, Pais wait!" Our laughter surrounded the thick trunks and the dancing leaves, as we continued to run - as if I were a mouse and he a cat.

Two muscular arms wrapped themselves around my waist, tackling me to the soiled floor with a thud, my once light blue jeans now a murky brown in the places of my fall.

"Paisley! I need to ask you something!" Piercing blue eyes boar into my own as the figure pulled his weight to tower above me, my arms pinned to the ground as I wriggled and squirmed against his grips, my endless giggles causing a smile to form along his lips.

"And what would that question be?" My own Docs banged against the floor in a fit of excitement to hear the question brewing against his tongue.

"Paisley Noir, will you come with me this weekend on a trip? A trip of true significance?" The goofy grin danced on his lips as he expressed his long overdue question.

Pretending to dwell on a thought for a moment, I twisted my own lips into a smile before speaking, "Xavier Roe, of course I will come on this adventure of great significance".

Pushing my hair from my face, I felt my lips once again twist into a brief smile, a smile that seemed all to foreign to my face in the recent weeks in which had passed.

"Oh my Roe, my sweet Xavier Roe, what a predicament we have found ourselves in".

Rising to my feet, I kicked my now worn Docs through the field and towards the old rusted truck at the bottom of the hill, the same hill that was once so precious, now only a fading memory.

Placing my elbow on the car door of the open window, I carelessly tapped the ash from the tip of my cigarette whilst briefly glancing at the map once more before pulling into a green bliss of secluded country roads, my mind clear and yet set on the path in which I had chosen.

Hours passed before I managed to pull away from the succumbing green roads and back onto a main road, the coastal air fresh in my lungs as I drove closer towards the first of many destinations, closer to posting the first letter.

Closer to France.

"My Dear Xavier Roe,

My first destination was all to obvious within regards to staying longer than needed, as it was indeed where all of this mess first started, where the tragedy was first discovered, the first beat of the wings in the butterfly effect.

Hence why it was to significant to miss, to important to forget and yet to obvious for me to stay.

My next destination hopefully contains of more thought to the outside mind, as these clues are all to do with what's in your head, they're all to do with the words you once spoke and the actions you once portrayed.

I am currently travelling towards the first destination, and will only post my letter before travelling to the next.

I believe you will piece these clues together and that you will find me before the last stop, before my last letter.

You know where to find me,
