The soft and muffled voice of the Human Princess hollered my name from the doorway where Bebe stood, arms crossed and looking up at the lady with a bored look as she furrowed her eyebrows while looking the masculine woman over. I felt my eyes drift over the two before beckoning the Princess over, Bebe trailing behind her with an unamused look as the Princess continued to let her eyes explore Bebe. I gestured for her to sit alongside me as I fixed my hair but she refused. I looked up at the blonde woman strangely at her refusal but that was before she decided to speak."It seems as though out of all the royals you and I have spent little to no time getting to know each other! We are the only two female monarchs and of course we should start to become well acquainted!" she spoke enthusiastically with her hands held in front of her, Bebe let a noticeable scoff spill and i looked to her harshly before returning to the Princesses expectant wide eyes. With a nod and soft smile, i let her whisk me off out of my room and into the palace gardens. Her muffled voice constantly speaking words my ears strained to hear. Her hold on me was firm and felt harsh, if i didnt keep in step with her she would simply pull me along. She sure was enthusiastic.
The Elvish gardens were filled with the royal colours of orange, green and red as well as flowers along the spectrum of those colours. The leaves on trees shone brilliantly and were sheened over with dew from the small river that ran through the gardens and city. I let Princess Kenny pull me along a bit longer as she began to go quiet observing the scenery. "It's nice isn't it?" i listened intently, the birds were singing a wonderful song this morning, the wind was rustling the leaves and blowing the grass in a sweet accompanying whistle. hearing an uninterested humm come from her beside me. "The scenery in this kingdom, its all so green and lush. King Kyle prides himself in his flowers, you can truly see it." i grinned up at the taller woman while she looked boredly at the flowers we passed, more interested in her gloved fingers. "I suppose they are pretty. You should see the flowers in my kingdom though! Royal purple leather flowers grow right outside my window and buttercups are everywhere. It's much cleaner than all this mess." Her chest puffed out proudly as we continued walking. Princess Kenny was much taller than myself and had to look down at me to meet my eyes, she walked strangely. Her posture was somewhat lazy and relaxed compared to the majority of monarchs i had met and she had the habit of crossing her arms while she walked or resting her hands in a piece of fabric she had sewn into her skirts which were used as pockets. The hemline of her dress rose so high it often covered her nose and mouth however when she bent to look at me i could see the bridge of her freckled nose. It was pointy.
'I suppose it might be more uniform in Zaron but...' i looked out on the creeping ivy that practically melded in with some of the beautifully masoned brick work of the west wing tower. 'I find the unpredictability and sporadicness of authentic nature to be refreshing. It shows that nature will always find a way despite some peoples best efforts.' I sent her a knowing look which she promptly ignored. The kingdom of Zaron was known to hammer down the nail that sticks out and disregard the natural magic and principles of this world in favour of the industrial. Something that provided them with amazing technology but broke their souls and ruined the beauty of their natural landscape.
She continued to dote on her kingdom and it's scenery before spotting a maid pass us by and immediately stopping in her speech as she stared after the woman. I watched as her wide eyes squinted down to a sharp examining gaze which scrutinised the woman's every feature. She didnt look at her in a menacing way though, it was a gaze similar to a drunken man ogling at his barmaid and observing her every feature.I decided to try and snap her out of this and spoke her name. Her head whipped towards mine, her eyes returning to the wide blue saucers they usually were as her full attention was on me. "Sorry! I just, i uhh. I really liked her hair?" she questioned, her voice wavering. I nodded curiously before asking her to continue what she was speaking of before. She had forgotten.
I decided i wanted to know more about her and ventured to ask her a question. "So, Princess Kenny what do you do in your spare time?" It was an innocent question really, i wasn't expecting the answer she gave. "I dont have much spare time gorgeous. Cartman keeps me busy with internal affairs, Princess matters and insists i spend a few hours each day just sitting and looking pretty. But when im sitting there i think. About the war mainly." her tone was joking initially however it was slightly difficult to decipher some of her words due to the cloth infront of her mouth. "What do you think about the war?" I asked her genuinely intrigued after a moment. The royalty of the three nations had very clear stances on the conflict however it was always valuable to hear the people most effected by its stance. Princess Kenny was known to have witnessed the fighting from her tower and be a frequent to the war meetings in Zaron despite being kept far away from it herself. The Princess and I had stopped walking now, we stood under the shade of a large oak tree, it was far removed from others in the castle, there was hardly anyone walking around. Princess Kenny turned to me, her deep blue hues staring deep into my soul, she saw into me. Her eyes were an interesting variety. Whilst glittering and mischievous they held an intense darkness that was almost feral. Her thick eyelashes perfectly delivered the intentions of beauty and fragility but also were seductively sinister."The war disgusts me." She spat, "The more we fight for what we think is a major gain the more we lose. We are killing and ending peoples lives without any thought! If it were up to me i would take that stick and destroy it all!" Her voice was dark and deep, the feminine edge being lost easily. I nodded alongside her, listening. "There is a little girl in our villiage, lost her family to the war. I do whatever i can for her. Karen her name is, she reminds me of myself in a way. Whenever I see her, see what this war has done to her and her home... It makes me sick" the Princess looked into the far away. I smiled at her caring nature. There were many sides to the Princess which i hadnt seen yet, but she was insistant on our relationship growing. "I'm sorry, i havent even asked about you gorgeous. What do you do in your spare time?" her attention was back on me. I felt her eyes run up and down my body and my cheeks flush at the added attention she applied to my chest.
"Well, i am the same as you, i dont have much free time between meetings and dealing with many of the internal affairs. When i am free i enjoy visiting close friends of mine or retiring to my medicine house to mend my patients. . I see the pain and suffering in the people i treat and try to help them where i can. One thing i find more enjoyable than all of that is walking through the ruins." Her eyebrows raised at me. "I like looking at the destruction it makes me feel sad yes, but also helps me think. I have similar sentiments to you in that way. Sometimes, when i walk through the destruction I feel like the buildings and people are still there, still alive, i like to sing to the souls that might still be trapped there. Guide them home. It might be a little bit silly but its what i believe in. It's also where i met Stanley." i noticed his figure running past the trees we were under as i mentioned him, his hair was dishevelled and he was clutching his belt up as he ran past. I giggled, mine and Kenny's eyes ran over him. "You're close?" she asked me with an eyebrow raised, her eyes were trained on me as i stared after him. "You could say." i smiled back at her. "Perhaps we will become close too?" i offered and she continued to stare into me.
For a moment she stared before she walked over to me placing a large hand on my wrist and holding it tight. Her back to the castle as she backed me into the tree. I felt my palms becoming moist and my lips suddenly going dry as her piercing blue eyes looked down at mine. She used her other hand to remove the hem of her dress from her face. A pointy nose which had been dented in a way that looked like it'd been broken before at some point covered in freckles which trailed her chiselled cheeks and strong jawline. Her lips were thin and pink, carrying a faint scar down from the edge of her mouth to the cleft in her chin. She didnt look like a She. But god she was handsome. I gulped as her face neared mine. "Princess?" i questioned as her hot breath fanned my face. Her eyes were squinted at mine in questioning and confusion as her nose poked mine. "Prince." he corrected, his voice now becoming deep and low. It rumbled through me and sent a chill along my spine as it all clicked into place. His voice was like honey. I noticed as they spoke a missing tooth that added to some kind of rugged charm. I felt vulnerable, despite the near-constant joking flirtatious advances of Craig and the incident with Stan no one had ever been this close to me. He was quiet as we observed each other, waiting for one of us to make a sound. His eyes trailed my body again and he licked his lips seductively as strands of his long blond hair brushed against his face. It felt like it was getting hotter all of a sudden. 'How about it then, you said we could be close too didnt you?' He smirked at me teasingly, raising his gloved hand to twirl a loose strand of hair of mine around in his long fingers. I felt a strange thickness in my throat. This was all too confusing and too quick to appropriately respond so all i could muster was an off hum.
That was before I saw his face turn, he sneered abruptly, almost as if he would snarl. Clicking his tongue in annoyance before he pulled away abruptly as footsteps drew closer. I looked over his shoulder to see Kyle standing there awkwardly, Kenny pulled his cover back over his mouth and turned to adress him. "Hello Princess Kenny, (Y/N). I hope im not interrupting anything but I was wondering if i could perhaps steal (Y/N) away for a moment?" He asked politely with furrowed eyebrows as usual, never once tearing his eyes away from the Princess who stood intensely close to me. Princess Kenny nodded. As i left to walk with Kyle i felt his large hand on my wrist again. Looking up at him i noticed his relaxed gaze. So carefree it was almost unbelievable. He bent down to whisper in my ear 'Keep this just between us alright gorgeous?', i shivered. Nodding he sent me a wink. The princess was dangerous, too dangerous to be alone with again.
"What was that about?" Kyle asked as we walked away from the Princess. "Oh nothing!" i reassured, sending one look over my shoulder to see the Princess already gone. She was a mysterious one, full of secrets. "Well anyway, let us get on with my grand tour of the kingdom shall we?" He offered me his arm which i held tight.
(This was just a filler chapter dont worry, better stuff is in the works)
