Chapter 8

I fell flat on my face.

Again.

His laugh rung through what seemed to be all of Ireland. It was so cute and so contagious I couldnt help myself. My emberassment was TREMENDOUS but I laughed anyways. "Are you okay?" he managed to say before starting to laugh again. He got up out of his chair and reached out his hand to help me up "Yeah Im fine" I laughed trying to act casual like nothing happened "Does this happen to you a lot?" he questioned with a sweet smile on his face. Remembering how I tripped earlier I scratched my head  and laughed "I guess so" I wipe the dust off and look over and to my suprise the fire is already started. "Wow you work fast!" "Yeah I was expecting someone" he said with a wink. I felt my heart melt just a little. He patted on the seat right next to him and I more then willingly took it. Then he reached behind him and pulled out a guitar. Man, guys who play the guitar are to die for. "Do you play?" he said starting to play a few chords. "No but I play the piano, Im hoping to go to Juliard some day" "Impressive!" he exclaimed "here let me teach you. He came up behind me put the guitar in my lap and put his arms around me. Can we just stay in the position forever? I looked over at him his face inches from mine. He smiled and started to teach me a few chords. "Your a natural!" he laughed as he took the guitar back and sat back down beside me. Its safe to say that those few minutes were the highlight of this trip! He looked into my eyes and started to sing hey there delilah. I could tell I was smiling like a fool but I didnt care because he was too. When he finished I started clapping and he took a little bow "That was incredible! Your an amazing singer! That is my favorite song" "Thank you, Ive always wanted to be a singer" he smiled. "One day it will happen" I say excited for him.

This night was perfect. We had been talking for hours now and I was having a blast. It started to get a little cold and he could tell because he came over and wrapped his sweater around me. "Thank you" I could feel my cheeks getting warm, and not from the fire.  "Harmony," He started to say "I know I just met you but Im crazy about you.. This might sound insane but I like you a lot. Your funny beautiful and one of the nicest down to earth girls I have ever met." Oh gosh, oh gosh. What do I do. "I....I feel the same way..." I manage to stammer out I cant believe this is happening. A smile comes across his face and he starts to lean in.

Holy cow. Is this happening is this real?

I feel my lips press against his. His lips are so soft and I cant help but let out a little smile. He strokes my cheek and places my hair gently behind my ear. I feel myself reach out and place my hand on the back of his neck. For my first kiss I think Im doing pretty darn good. Im frozen in time in my dream land. All thoughs have stopped and I am now on puffy pink clouds.

When we finally pull away and for once he is blushing as well. He gives me a little giggle which is the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I giggle back and he comes close and whispers in my ear "your are an amazing girl Harmony"
