Shawn's POV
I give up faith waiting for Teagan to emerge in full blown tears running toward me and walk home. My mom is curious of my mood but doesn't question it. Now is not the time to being her name up, even if she is all I think about. She is every living piece of me. She's the beat to my thumping heart. Teagan Jackson is my other half. I don't know how I can get her back... And it kills me!
My phone buzzes on the desk beside me signaling a text.
I dive for the phone involuntarily.
Fuck, Shawn. Give it up! You screwed it up! She's done with you!
The text was from Caleb telling me that Teagan is ok and she's home. At least he has the flipping decency to let me know. Thanks, Asshat.
I trudge out my bedroom door and rip my jacket off the hook. I'm going there. I need her.
I hesitantly tell my hand to knock on the door. 3 hours away from her and I'm already a wreck.
"Shawn. Teagans in her room. She ummm she's crying." His eyes are wide. I give him a glance as if asking for approval to make my way to her room.
"I'm going out for awhile. Take care of my baby girl." I nod and walk down the long hallway. I run when I hear her faint sobbing.
I bust through the door and rush to her side and grab her tight.
"Teagan." Tears start to rip at my eyes looking down at the beautiful mess below my protective hold.
She continues to sob. I want to heal her.
I rest my head on hers and let my heart beat against hers. Our small fight seemed distant.
"Teagan. I love you. I do, so much." Her sobbing slows and so does her breathing. I pull her to look me in the eyes. They were bloodshot and puffy. The color had seemed to fade a bit like the water rushed out of the ocean they contained.
I hate surprises. But this surprise had me raving. She grabs me by the hem of my shirt and kisses me forcefully. We flop on the bed in a tangled mess and end up berating heavy saying our feelings for each other over and over. I love this girl. So much.
When we relax and cuddle close, she breaks the silence.
"I have to tell you something, Shawn." My worried expression takes over and hers does as well.
"I kissed Caleb."
