"I love you just a little too much
You know i love the thrill of the rush"Daniel was a killer and no one could deny it, he never cried in his whole life. Even when his father took the life of his mother eight in front of his eyes, believe me, they were dry, and still are.
— Please, stop, please! - The sweet girlish voice echoed through one o the alleys of Pasadena Avenue.
The best part of taking someone's life, is to hear them begging Daniel not to do so. It was refreshing, like music to his ears. He also loves how beautiful their victims looks dead, lifeless, blood stained, ripped flesh, the most beautiful form of art he could ever made. He wasn't a killer, he was an artist.
The already ripped flesh bleeds, painting the alley's cement with blood. The body in the floor, once shaking in agony, finally was dead, after Daniel's knife drew a deep triangle on it's throat, was there. She, it was a woman, was dead. That's when Daniel breathes heavily, lights up a cigarette and walks away. Regretful? Never. Refreshed? Always.
— You should stop sleeping late. - Hazel said taking a sip of her coffee. — You got pretty big bags under your eyes.
Daniel breathed heavily looking through the places window covered by raindrops. If only she knew where he was last night.
— You know I have insomnia. - He lies blinking slowly.
"Last night, Friday, 17th of August, the police found the dead body of Tessa Kim, a 25 year old woman. The victim was located in one of the alleys of Pasadena Avenue. Police confirmed that the incident was a homicide and is being investigated"
The voice of the woman in the news interrupted their conversation. Hazel looks at the television and make a sad expression. Daniel stared at it for some seconds and rolled his eyes. Why people get sad so easily? Is it that famous feeling called empathy? Daniel couldn't feel that.
Hazel breaths heavily and looks through the window's glass, just to find her boyfriend's car parked right on the other side of the street. She stand up quickly and drink the rest of her coffee.
— I have to go. - She says grabbing her backpack. Daniel follows her gaze and also finds the car of her boyfriend.
— Tsc, when are you gonna break up with him? - Daniel asks impatiently and clearly annoyed to have his moment with Hazel messed up by that man.
— Jaden loves me Daniel, why am I going to break up with him? - She says and he cross' his arms furrowing his eyebrows.
— Love doesn't hurt. - He states and she presses her lips looking down.
— You know nothing about love. - She raises her head just to find his gaze at her eyes. — See you, later.
He watches her leave the place, with a heavy breath he looks at the car, watching Jadens hand grab Hazel's wrist and push her into the car. Daniel closes his eyes tensing his jaw. He could kill him. Damn, he could, but... Hazel loves him.
Does Daniel love her? Well, I don't know, Daniel's head is too complicated, I don't know his definition of love, but I'm sure he likes her milky skin, and how her curly chocolate hair falls on her shoulders, the way she smiles and tells him to take care, and how he feels aroused by her presence, he can't deny it, but can hide it. And he wouldn't take her life, at least I think so, he find her more beautiful alive than dead. However, there's two things on his way to her, her boyfriend and, well, himself.
That man, Jaden, if Hazel gave the permission, that man would've had his throat ripped off a long ago. Daniel would treat her better. But on late nights, sitting on his apartment's balcony's railing, with a cigarette on his lips and an empty bottle of Hennessy on the floor, he realizes I am no better than that man. So he stays away.
