''I just couldn't help myself. I couldn't just make the dress simple.'' Susan says while making the last alterations to the dress colour of the dress is a very pretty light blue. But she went extra with the rest of the dress.
Don't get me wrong I appreciate it. But it just isn't me.
''Everything is covered up. No one will see your cuts on your arms. Cuts don't make the best first impression.'' I nod as I watch her do her thing.
Jane needed to help with some things for tonight, so it is just me and Susan. I don't really feel like talking because of my nerves. Just in a little while I have to be acting like I like it here and everything about it. While I actually want to go home. The wedding is supposed to be tomorrow. I just hope that the prince is kind. That is the only thing I ask.
''Alright are you ready Princess?'' Jane asks while opening the door.
''I guess I don't have another choice, do I?'' I look down to the ground, well actually I can just see the dress.
''The family is ready to meet you. They are all in the dining room.'' I nod again and walk behind Jane. Letting her lead the way. She stops in front of two big doors and turns around.
''Just breath and everything will be alright.'' She turns back around and knock two times. The doors open, and Jane bows her head.
''I introduce to you Princess Adelyne Eleanora Fortescue.'' Someone says. Jane points me to an empty chair. I am walking trying not to trip over my dress. I sit down, and I feel family all looking at me and behind me. I turn my head around and see a person standing there who was supposed to be helping with my chair. ''Sorry'' I mouth to him.
''Princess Adelyne I hope your stay here has been alright this far?'' The king says.
''Yes, everyone is kind.'' I say looking at him. I am still afraid to look to the other side of the table. Is peaked a glance of him when I walked in. I already know that he my fiancé. He is the only one remotely close to my age.
''Good. We will all introduce ourselves from youngest to eldest, children start.'' The king says.
''I am Princess Joanna.'' The little girl next to me says. ''Have you come here to play with me?'' She whispers.
''Uhm I am not sure. But we could maybe play tomorrow.'' I say, and she just gets the biggest smile on her face.
''Joanna I already told you that she isn't here to play with you. She is here for Arthur. They are going to be married tomorrow.'' The boy I guess about 9 years old says.
''Tomas it isn't your turn yet.'' The queen says.
''My name is James and I am a Prince.'' The boy with the big brown eyes says.
''I am Tomas, and can I ask you something?'' The boy asks.
''Yes of course what do you want to know?''
''How old are you? You look young.''
''I am sixteen.'' I say.
''Well my brother is nineteen. He is...'' He stops to think. '' three years older then you're.'' I nod as he looks proud of himself.
''And I am Arthur.'' They voice on the other side of the table says. I hesitate for a moment but then look his way. It is rude to not look at somebody as they speak to you. He looks pissed off about something. Maybe he hoped I looked different. Or he just doesn't like me in general.
The rest of diner went by quietly from my side. Tomas, James and Joanna were talking about a lot of stuff. Sometimes Joanna would ask me something about playing. Other than answering the question that were meant for me, I had no intention of speaking. Neither did Arthur I suppose. I saw him look at me a couple times but other than that we didn't have any contact.
