Frustration filled his bones, and anger crept into his expression. Knowing that any minute he was about to explode, he tried to walk away. But she grabbed his arm. Screaming inside, he turned round and with a voice like steel said 'I dont talk to idiots, hypocrites or worthless pieces of shit who can't stand up for themselves. Now piss off, because you classify as all three.' Immediately he regretted his words. A dark expression flashed across her face before she sharply turned round and ran. 'WAIT!' he screamed, but it was too late. Like a cat into the night, she had disappeared. He just hoped it wouldn't be the last time he saw the love of his life.

ALYSSA

I dissapeared. Just went. Truth be told, I knew he hadn't meant it. But after all that I had been through, I didn't want to have a relationship yet. I wanted to sort out my life. Four years, trapped in a prison and tortured for information I didn't know. Then finally gathering the courage and knowledge to escape. Constantly on the run. That had been a month ago, and three weeks before I had met Raven. We had a pull to each other, but at the moment, all I really need and want is to find out the awnser to this riddle. The reason behind my fathers death and the who the masked assasin is. Pulling myself onto the roof with the training I taught myself, I sat and watched as Raven ran past.

RAVEN

Four days spent loitering, just waiting, and wandering around like a ghost.

Just wishing that she would pop up. I sighed. Normally when a wolf found their mate they wouldn’t lose them so easily. Whenever asking about her, nobody’s seen her. Part of me wishes it was easier, part of me knows this is the best person for me and she’s been perfect, the few conversations we’ve had. She’s smart, witty and beautiful. I remember the first time we met, I looked into her eyes and couldn’t stop staring into those flecked green beauties.  My pack is around this area however I’m sure she doesn’t live here. So now I have no choice but stay here.  I can’t even find her. I put my hands on my head, feeling desolate and helpless.

‘What do you want from me?’ he asked ‘I don’t know no one called Ian.’

I rubbed my forehead. I had massive headaches because half of the things I had to do were at day and half at night. I didn't really want to use threats or force, but i knew this guy was lying. Putting a nonchalant face on, I slowly brandished a long, shiny silver knife. My victim, James, gulped audibly. I ran the blunt edge along my finger then put the knife to his neck.

'Where is Ian.' I asked.

The poor man, who was probably a criminal anyway, whimpered, then struggled with his ropes. I pushed the knife a little deeper, causing trickles of blood to form.

'Tell me.' I said.

'I swear I don't know him good, we talk a bit, I got family and children.' he cried.

I sighed. 'Tell me' I repeated 'where he is.'

'24 Marlyebone Road.' He whispered.

'Good' I said and left.

I hoped he hadn't lied. I didn't want to come back if he had, because we both knew what the consequences would be.

After arriving at the plain, crusty flat, I knocked. Maybe it was a stupid thing to do but

1. No-one expects a criminal searching awnsers to just knock on your door.

2. I looked like a postman with a oversized red bag slung over my shoulder.

3. I really couldn't be bothered to break the window latch and climb through.

After three knocks, a middle-aged woman with an Irish accent stepped forth.

'What do you want?' She glared at me. What a rude woman. I shoved past her, making her stumble backwards. I shut and locked the door. 'Where is Ian?' I demanded. Her eyes widened and she stuttered a little. ' H-He left three weeks ago after he divorced me.' I rubbed my forehead again while stepping out. This was going to be a long, tedious week. As I did so, a guy with a beanie on his head wolf whistled. I felt like taking out my knife and seeing his reaction but after consideration decided not to make a scene. Then he did it again. You know what? I changed my mind.

RAVEN

When I heard a manly scream something instinctal made me run there as fast as humanly possible. There I saw a kid with wet trousers pointing a shaking hand at an alleyway. I knew (mainly hoped) it had to be her. Sprinting towards the figure in the distance I started to catch up. She turned into a wider alleyway. She had no chance now I had enough space to run. But I knew her nimbleness. She had probably calculated it so she ran into a crowd. I couldn't lose her. Not now. I bellowed ' ALYSSA!' A bit of hesitation caused her to lose her momentum slightly and I tackled her, falling onto my back and pulling her on top of me.

ALYSSA

I stared into his mesmerising eyes, but then came back to reality. Struggling to get up I pushed his built chest. His arms tightened even more around my waist as he searched my eyes asking unspoken questions. Finally, he cleared his throat and asked

'Why did you run?'

'Because I thought you were someone else.'

I was lying. I knew even the sound of his footsteps.

His eyes narrowed slightly. 'Before that.'

'I don't know what you mean, I should get up before somebody sees us.' Or me, after the stunt I pulled

Anger flashed through those eyes. ' This is a deserted alleyway, now awnser the question.'

'What question?' I asked, trying (probably failing) to put on an innocent face.

'Thats it!' He whispered (to himself probably) and threw me over his shoulder. I made to shout, but I was tired, and i would have to face the bells someday. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep for the first time in days.
