Run

Run. Just keep running and don't stop. But your heart hurts. Everything slows. But you must keep going. It will catch up. Fuck.

You stop, unable to breathe you had to stop to give your lungs a break. Gasping for air you clutched onto your knee caps, bent in half breathing deeply. Your heart pumping faster than you thought was possible. You could feel it's heavy beating unable to beat normally as you couldn't get enough air into your lungs. So you coughed. Coughed so loud and so hard you felt the acidic slime make its way up your throat, until you threw up.
Taking 5 more deep breaths in, wiping the excess yellow liquid from your lips, you turned slowly. It was coming, it could see you. There was no where to go. You have to keep running to get a chance of survival. It hadn't noticed you yet, yet it's ice cold black holes that it called eyes burned into the back of your head as you started sprinting again.

Run. Just keep running. Don't stop. Don't look back.

Woods ahead. Run into those and you'll loose them. There's two now. Both have pitch black eyes. Both burning into the back of your skull. Just keep running. Tears froze like ice to your cheeks. It hurt to blink, so you didn't. You kept running into the woods. Where you hoped and prayed you'd loose them.

Into the woods. Hide behind the big rock. Or there's the cave. Hide there. No too obvious...

Thoughts flew through your mind, unable to think straight you kept running towards what you thought the best option was. The cave. As you started to think out you plan, the cave became closer and closer, barely even noticing how fast your thin legs were moving.
A tree root stuck up out of the ground, everything wanting you to be caught by them. The dark night sky decreasing all of your vision as you were increasingly closer to the black hole. You tripped, your shoe laces stuck in the roots decayed holes. Panicking, you fell down frantically trying to release your shoelace from the rotting tree root, whilst your eyes scanned the whole ground around you, they were no where to be seen. A cold shiver sent down you're spine brought back the nauseous feeling that it's too quiet. Eerily quiet. You managed to untie your shoe lace from the root, know knowing that you couldn't stop as no where is safe...

A warm breeze blew on your neck. Not a breeze... a breath. Petrified, you couldn't move, frozen in the spot you are stood in. Unable to do anything. Your whole body trembled as a single tear made its way to your frozen cheeks. They had caught up. You knew this was the end. As you felt a cold hand graze yours, you managed to let out a blood curdling scream, just the one, one someone 5 miles from your location could hopefully hear. Your only chance at survival. It wasn't enough, more hands grabbed you from all directions pulling at your coat. The zip broke, you wriggled your arms out of the suffocating sleeves.

Run. Don't look back. Don't stop...
