Friday nights are supposed to be carefree. Schools over for the week and the weekend has started. But for me weekends are when I start to question everything. It's the time when I think about all the memories that came back, and when I take time to write it all down. I write it all down in different languages each memory holds at least three languages one I made up, and two randomly chosen(from a bowl) languages. I understand if everything you just read weirds you out. This isn't exactly a normal life, but I fear this is as close as I'll get.
I sit on the old patched up couch in my small livingroom while listening to the screaming next door. Although it may seem odd the screaming is somehow peaceful to me. It causes a distraction from the memories and allows me to just breathe. But just like every fight they have it ends with a slam of there front door and a knock on mine. With a slight sigh I stand up and walk over to my front door. I open the door to reveal the girl from next door. Shes a little bit taller than average and she keeps her hair black hair shoulder length. Tears are running down her pale face that this time actually looks worried.
"Hey Amanda." Her voice comes out almost as a whisper. "Can...can I.." She stuttered so I cut her off.
"Come in Georgie." I gently chime in and she smiles at me as she walks past. I close the door behind her and walk over to the couch where shes already sitting.
"Your amazing. I hope you know that." Georgie remarks already sounding more steady and calm. At this point my small apartment is like her comfort zone.
"Are you hungry?" I ask as I start towards the kitchen that really is only like a foot away.
"Kind of." She replied turning towards me while whipping a tear off of her face. "Do you have any tea?" She asks and I back away from what I'm doing. I reveal a teapot that's in the process of boiling her some water. "Wow your good." She smiles.
"Well I know my neighbor likes tea. So of course I'm gonna make her some." I state. "Now after we eat we are going straight to bed I'm working the morning shift tomorrow."
And we do exactly that. I wake her up in the morning and she heads to another one of her friends apartments while I hurry off to work.
