Warning: Violence
——————————————————
Later that night, Roman sat on his bed. He thought about the conversation he'd had with Virgil that morning.

They'd both admitted that they'd liked each other. And then Virgil hugged him.

Roman had put his arm around Virgil before, but mostly just to keep him away from Deceit. This was different.

Deceit. Roman recalled the day before after everyone else had left the bus stop.

"I just want to have a bit of fun with him, that's all. And you aren't going to get in the way of me. No one ever does."

Roman got the sudden feeling that he wouldn't want to stay for long. He wasn't sure how, but he could tell that if he stood there any longer talking with Deceit, it wouldn't end well for him.

He turned on his heel and sprinted away, but only gained a few feet on Deceit before he'd grabbed his backpack and dragged him backwards.

The next thing he knew, Roman was curled up on the ground, with his knees pulled up to his chest, and his breath knocked out of his lungs.

It was only a couple of seconds, really, that he was on the ground being kicked half to death (not really that badly, but it did hurt) before Deceit pulled hims back up to his feet and whispered into his ear, "Stay away from him. Or else I won't hesitate to do this again. Maybe worse."

Roman gulped and ran. He ran as fast as he could from Deceit, wincing slightly.

He caught up to Logan and asked if he could walk home with him each day.

He shuddered and rubbed his ribs. They still ached slightly and were a bit bruised. He was already resigned to the fact that this might be a regular occurrence for him now. He didn't care anymore.

Though he decided he'd rather not think about it.

Bored out of his mind, Roman scanned his room for something, anything, to distract him.

His eyes fell on the sketch that Virgil had given him on the first day right after homeroom. He grinned to himself and couldn't deny how much the drawing looked like a cartoon of himself. Then he remembered that Virgil had written his number on it. Should he?

He should.

Roman: Hey there, my emotionally distressed dreamboat!

He cringed when he realized how bad that was, and held his breath when he saw that he was replying.

Virgil: who dis

Roman: Princey

Virgil: oh ok so what'd you wanna talk about

Roman: Literally anything. I'm bored out of my mind.

Virgil: ok lemme think real quick, im not great at starting up a convo

Roman: That's fine, take your time.

Virgil: ok

Virgil: i think i got something

Roman: Okay, what is it??????

Virgil: u know how we have a crush on each other

Roman: Yes...?

Virgil: but were not dating

Roman: Go on.

Virgil: what do u call that

Roman: Explain.

Virgil: well ur not my dad

Roman: Vine?

Virgil: yup

Virgil: but in all seriousness ur not my bf

Virgil: and ur definitely not my gf

Roman: Are you assuming my gender?

Virgil:.........😬

Roman: Sorry.

Virgil: so what do you call it

Virgil: us

Roman had to think on that for awhile. Then he got an idea. He just hoped that it would be a good one.

Roman: If you want, you can call me your boyfriend. It would make stuff simpler.

Virgil: but ur not

Roman: But I could be.

Roman bit his lip as he pressed send.

A/N: Ooh, a cliffhanger! What on earth could possibly happen next? Aren't you simply dYiNg to find out?

Mwa ha ha ha ha ha ha.

It'll probably be awhile before I update, I'm working on some Drarry oneshots and might start a Drarry book, so get used to waiting.

Next time I'll try to write a longer chapter, I'm just busy right now.

Adios amigos!
