Ellie's POV

Today we finally get to bring Wes and Ansley home.

Luke carries them outside and get their car seats, that Niall gladly bought, in place.

I put Ansley in on one side and Wes in on the other. I sit in between them and Luke drives us all home.

Luckily, there are minimal paparazzi waiting for us, since I asked for some quietness from everyone.

We take them out of the car and into the house, both of them still fast asleep.

"You should probably get some sleep," I tell him. He nods, walking into the bedroom. I am honestly just waiting for the hours of torture during the first month, all the crying and loss of sleep.

As soon as they wake up, both Weston and Ansley start crying, obviously hungry. I breast feed them, which is kind of awkward, but I guess this will be my next th months with them.

When they are finished, the stop crying. I put them in baby chairs with stuffed animals and walk upstairs to sleep with Luke. I turn on the baby monitor before I lay down.

After what seems like only a few minutes, they start crying again. Luke hasn't slept in two days, and me for one, so this all kind of sucks.

I turn off the monitor, so Luke won't wake up. He is sleeping like a baby, and its kind of cute.

I walk downstairs and change them, hoping to God it makes them quiet. They start crying again, so I hold them and stay downstairs. I guess I won't be getting any sleep today.

I hold them until they start to kick and squirm, then I set them down on a blanket. They lay there and play with the assorted stuffed animals that I have laid around them. I hear foot steps coming down the stairs.

Luke sits beside me. His eyes are bloodshot. He has only gotten two hours of sleep.

"Luke, you have to sleep," I tell him. He shakes his head. "I'm going to stay up with you," he says.

I can tell that all he wants to do is sleep. "Look at me," I tell him. He does so.

"I am fine," I tell him, cupping his face in my hands, "I will be fine. I'll get some sleep tonight. You've slept a whole lot less than I have."

He shakes his head. "I'm staying here," he says.

He eventually leans on my shoulder and totally passes out, thankfully. I hate seeing him this way, he looks like he is high and sick at the same time.

Ansley starts crying, so I shove a dummy in her mouth. As much as I hate to say it, today has been the opposite of my expectations.

It isn't just bad, it's torturous.

All I want to do it sleep!

I call Bella for suggestions.

"Bellaaaaa," I groan. "What's up hun?" she asks. "They keep freaking crying," I say, "Why?"

"I warned you, it'll be like that for the first three months," she says. "But why?" I ask.

"I don't know, why don't you have Luke help you?" she asks. "Because I haven't slept in one day," I say, "He hasn't slept in two. And he always insists on being the one to drive. I don't want him to crash or anything."

"The poor boy," she says. "Yeah, and he refused to sleep until he finally just passed out," I say. One of the babies start crying and Luke sits up.

"Well, I have to go, bye," I say, before hanging up.

Luke gets on the ground and holds Ansley. "It's okay baby," he coos, making me smile. He may have only gotten three hours in, but he seems better.

"You're still going to have to sleep tonight," I tell him.

"Ellie, you can't be the only one," he says. "Luke, you have barely gotten any sleep since they've been born, can't you just lay off a little?" I ask him, probably sounding a little harsh.

He looks at me with his big, blue eyes.

"I'll be fine," I promise him. "You sure?" he asks. "Yes Luke, I've gone longer without sleep, I will be perfectly fine," I tell him.

He nods. "How about I order some pizza," he says. "Pizza sounds good, cooking doesn't, order it," I say, laughing a little. He leans in and kisses me before going to the kitchen to call for pizza.

When it finally arrives, we gorge ourselves. The twins both fall asleep, so we put them in their cribs in the nursery.

We lay down. "You think they'll stay quiet long enough for us to sleep a little?" Luke asks, "Because it's literally hurting me to keep my eyes open."

"Lets just hope," I say, snuggling up to him.

Sadly, a few hours later, someone starts crying. "Ugh," I groan, getting up. I turn the baby monitor off so Luke won't wake up again, I hate to see him like that.

I pick up Ansley and hold her close. "It's okay," I whisper. I feed both of them and change them, hoping it'll last through the night.

I'm lucky enough to say that it did.

One night down, many more to go.
