A few days ago, we headed back to LA. David and I talked more about what he wanted me to do as his assistant.

It's all easy stuff, really. Just things that he needs done around the house that he either doesn't feel like doing or doesn't have time to do.

To me, it really seems like he just needed a nanny.

Today, David has left me a list of things to get done: call his manager, pick up some groceries, and of course, Chipotle.

Since I've already gotten everything done and its 2 in the afternoon, I decide to head to a coffee shop and hang out for a little bit by myself.

I bring my computer so I could look into David's schedule a little bit so I can figure out when he's going to be free for different events. While working on it, someone sits down across from me.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" A voice says.

"Not at all," I say not looking up from the computer. However, I can feel eyes staring at me so I eventually look up.

I look up to see a gorgeous man with blonde hair and blue eyes. He's dressed pretty preppy, but not overly, and I could tell he's just gotten out of work or is on a break.

"Oh, hi," I say, getting distracted from my work.

"Hello," He smiles at me. And of course, his teeth are perfect.

"What's your name?" He asks, and I pull myself back to reality.
"Natalie," I smile.

"Dylan," He introduces himself, sticking out his hand to shake mine.
"Are you working?" He asks and I nod.
"Yeah. Just trying to figure out some scheduling," I tell him.

"I get that. I'm on a break right now, and scheduling has been tight," He explains.

"What do you do?" I ask curiously.

"I'm a lawyer," He says and I nod impressed.
We talk for a little while, before he slides me his number.
"Sorry to leave abruptly, but I need to head back to work. Give me a call," He winks at me before leaving. He has a nice butt.
As much as I would love to call him, I'm not sure if I actually should. I just got out of a serious relationship, and I don't think I'm ready to dive into something else.
I mean, there is a major possibility that nothing will happen here. But, there is a chance.

I decide to head back home, seeing as how I've been here for multiple hours now.

When I get back, I decide I might as well send him a text. I mean, what's the worst that can happen?

Natalie: Hey Dylan, this is Natalie from the coffee shop

Dylan: Oh hey Natalie! How are you doing?

Natalie: I'm great. Just got back from the coffee shop actually lol. You?

Dylan: I'm well, thanks for asking. Do you have any plans tonight?

Natalie: I do not actually :)

Dylan: Did you want to grab some dinner with me?

Natalie: I would love to

Dylan: Great, I'll pick you up at 7

I smile in excitement, as I walk to my room to start getting ready.
After a shower, I dry and straighten my hair and throw on some makeup. I throw on a red dress and some nude heels and hope that I'm not too overdressed. It can pass as more casual, so I'm hoping it'll work.
I text Dylan my address and head out to the living room to wait for him.
As I head out there, I notice David with two other guys, I think their names are Heath and Zane, along with Todd.

"Dang Natalie you're looking hot," Todd says causing me to laugh.
"Where are you off to?" David asks curiously.
"I'm going to dinner with someone," I say sitting next to I think Zane.

"And who is that?" David asks, curious as ever of course.

"Dylan," I say simply as if he should know who it was.
"Is that your boyfriend?" Todd asks I'm guessing refers to Shawn.

"No, Shawn and I actually broke up," I say awkwardly, and everyone got quiet.
I turned to Zane and Heath, who look like they have no idea what's going on.
"Hi I'm Natalie," I stick my hand out and they shake it, introducing themselves.
"Natalie, be safe," David warns when the doorbell rings.
"Yes, dad," I joke before saying goodbye to everyone.
"Well you look gorgeous," Dylan says opening the door to his range rover for me. Not fair, this is my dream car.

"Thank you. You don't look too bad yourself," I wink at him.
"So where are we going?" I ask curiously.

"It's a surprise," He says and I whine.
"But I hate surprises," I say, causing him to chuckle.

Shortly after, we pull up to a restaurant, and I'm glad that its Italian. It's my favorite.

I order some chicken parm while he orders the spaghetti, and I learn a lot about him.
He's 24 and went to USC law school, which is pretty impressive. His family is from Michigan and said that he went to Chicago all the time.

After we ate, I expected him to take me back to my place, however, we pulled up to an arcade.

"No way," I say excitedly.
"Do you not want to go in?" He asks nervously and I shake my head.
"No! I love arcades," I exclaim and he smiles.
"Good,"

For the next few hours, we go in and fool around with all the different arcade games, and its the most fun I've had in a while.

"Well I had a lot of fun tonight," I tell him as he walks me up to the door.
He leans in to kiss me, but I back away slightly.
"I'm sorry," I say embarrassed.

"Why are you sorry?" He asks confused.
"I just had a very strange end to a 3-year relationship last week, so I don't know if I'm ready to move that quickly," I look at him before looking down.
He puts his hands on my shoulders.

"I completely understand. I got the wrong impression. I'm fine with being friends," He says sweetly, which calms the nerves that I had.

Why can't there be more guys like this?

~~~
Lol guys I went to my pre-op today and now I have no idea when I'm getting surgery when I originally was supposed to get it the 18th. This is great.
