December 20

"Thank you for providing our amazing costumes, the play was a success and we can't thank you all enough" the director praised. "Thank you all for your hard work, and I can't wait to see you all next year! Merry Christmas!" The final bell rang, and we all got up, happy that we did our job efficiently. We all got up and made our way outside. Lyra and I got in her car, and she drove me out to her house.

We got inside, and I saw all her suitcases. "You're ready to go huh?" I asked, sitting down onto the red couch. "Yes! I always am dying to see my family around Christmas!" she exclaimed. "You more excited since Orlando is coming huh?" "Yes and yes! I can't wait until you get to come with me!" "You know I hate flying over water." "Stop being a big baby!" "It's only the whole Atlantic Ocean" I said with a sarcastic tone. "Oh, hush, I've flown a billion times, and I'm fine." "Do you think the rest of your family is going to like Orlando?" She looked at me like I was crazy.

"If my dad liked him, the rest of my family will."

The Next Day

December 21

"Call me when you get to Ghana" I said, giving Lyra a big hug. "Alright, you keep my baby safe now" she snapped at Adam, "I don't want her getting into any trouble while I'm gone!" "Yeah, yeah, can y'all leave now so I can go back inside? Freezing my ass off out here."

I rolled my eyes, then looked at Orlando, who was going to meet Lyra's family.

"Keep her in check." He smiled. "Yes ma'am." Both of them got back into the yellow cab. "Travel safe!" I yelled as they pulled off.

The taxi turned the corner, disappearing out of sight. "You're friend talks to0 damn much." I put my arm around his waist, and he draped one arm over my shoulders. "Let's just go get something to eat.." "Mexican?" "Yup."

We drove over to a Chipotle and went inside. There was a whole gang of people inside, kids from a high-school. I had went through the line, and ordered my food. I was waiting for him at the cashier.

"Adam?" the blond haired girl behind the register said.

"Hey..." he greeted with an uneasy smile.

"Whose this?" "This is my girlfriend, Aaliyah. Aaliyah, this is Angelica." She looked down at me, and then to my stomach. I felt awkward.

"Congrats. What happened to Choochi? You never could stay with one girl too long huh?"

Adam handed me the keys. "Go sit in the car, I'll pay for the food" he said. I looked at the girl again before walking to outside. On my way to the car, not looking at where I was going, I bumped into one of the highschool kids who had came outside, and he whirled around. He looked like a younger version of the Tajo guy, but with a curler afro. He just smiled, before walking out of the door. "Aaliyah?" I looked up at Adam. "You ready to go?" "Yeah."

His POV

Aaliyah came out the bathroom, hair done into a bun, ready for bed. I flipped a couple of pages, of the book, and started reading. The bed dipped beside me. Her breath was warm on the back of neck. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. "What's that?" "A book the dads are suppose to read for the class. It's hella long." "You-read?" I shook my head, chuckling. "Yes, I do." She leaned against my back, her face next to my ear. I craned my head around to peck her lips.

"You need to go to sleep" I told her, "you're tired." She nodded and laid back. I got up, deciding to take my reading elsewhere. I was able to read a few chapters before I decided to turn in for the night. I was happy I got this book, I didn't know any of this stuff. I went back into the bedroom, ready to go to sleep,. I turned the light on, and laid the book on the bedside table.

Aaliyah was sound asleep, still looking amazing as ever. Her hand resting on her stomach. I went down to my room and grabbed a sketchbook, and a pencil. I hadn't used it in so long. I went back to Aaliyah's place, and sat down in a chair. My pencil hit the paper, and I was sketching.

I yawned sitting up in the bed. Adam's head on my chest, his hand on my swollen middle. I laid in bed a few more minutes, resting my head on his. Outside of the window, I could see snow was falling steady. Snow was something I rarely saw, living in Georgia. I ran my fingers through his wavy, and incredibly soft, hair. I moved his hands off of me, and sat up.

"What are you up so early for?" I looked back at Adam. "Come back to bed." "I'm bored." "You know what I like to do when I'm bored?" he smirked. I ran my fingers under his raglan t-shirt, feeling his toned torso. "Maldita sea, sus dedos están fríos (Damn, your fingers are cold).." he shivered. "It's freezing in here" I explained. "It feels fine to me" he added, getting up from the bed to grab another blanket. I wrapped up in it. "I swear my hormones are crazy right now" I giggled.
