 Peter Pan...

Prologue

"You done Pete?" I asked getting irritated.

I'd been sitting on top of the dirty roof for over an hour and my butt was getting cramps waiting for lover boy to pick up his new catch of the summer.

I heard a shriek and I could tell Peter had met his new amour. What was this one's name again? I racked my brains... Wendy? Nah... That was the last one... Brenda? Nope.. That was the one who gave us the pregnancy scare. Ah! What does it even matter. It'll be over by the end of summer anyway.

I was concentrating on turning my hair a real mean shade of red when the boy in question appeared before me.

His shaggy chocolate brown hair was windblown and his hazel eyes were twinkling as he came gliding to me, his clean shaven cheeks flushed pink.

I understood why none of these girls ever screamed bloody murder after they found him sitting by their windows.

"Tink! Give her some pixie dust and let's head outta here."

Peter said excitedly, his tall form almost bouncing in excitement in mid air.

Sighing, I followed him through the open window, keeping my long hair the startling shade of red that contrasted against the emerald green of my dress.

"Lisa, this is Tinkerbell. She can help you out with flying." Peter introduced me.

Hovering a few feet off of the floor, I pushed the now red bangs out of my eyes and adjusted to the lighting of the room. It was pretty dimly lit but still brighter than the moonless ebony sky.

Lisa(so that was the name!) was a strawberry blonde. Pale skin, willowy body and large doe eyes. She reeked of innocence in the oversized ugly white nightie she was wearing.

Just like Peter liked them, I thought bitterly.

As I swirled around her sprinkling golden pixie dust that fell off my skin on to her, I couldn't help but feel a little jealous. I mean, Peter was hot with his olive skin and toned body so of course I used to have a crush on him. And no one knew him better than me. I know how he feels just by the sound of his breathing; we don't even need to talk to communicate. But does the idiot notice me?

No. Instead I had to be his wingman or more accurately, his wing pixie for these summer flings of his. He'd disappear for days from Never Land and come back with tales of a new love. The lost boys need a mother he said. Not like I took care of them for the past 13 years I knew them. Fed them, bathed them, and taught them. No, no, no a human girl can do miracles!

But whatever, it's over I thought angrily, absently punching the enormous teddy bear the girl had in her canopy bed. I'm leaving anyway.

I looked up as 'She' giggled.  Peter held her with his arms around her waist to help her balance.

Ah, the famous overtly touchy flying lessons.

"This is so much fun Peter!" She squealed.

Oh bother.

I was about to leave and wait for the happy couple back in the roof top regardless of butt cramps, when the door flew open.

Peter let go of her from shock and she was left hovering just above the purple carpeted floor, her body shimmering with pixie dust.

"What the hell?!" The blonde guy who opened the door yelled.

His face was red with anger, surprisingly, not like he just discovered two people defying gravity.
