Angelicas POV

I was sitting in my room reading some common sense by Thomas Paine. Only my sisters know. Father doesn't like me reading it but I read it in privacy.

"Angelica!" Peggy shouted. "Come on!"

I walked downstairs to see my sisters. We were going into town. Father said to be home by sundown while he is going on a trip until the morning.

A carriage drop us of into the town. It stared to get a little dark.
"Let's go sisters" Peggy said
"Why theres more to see, you are free to go" Eliza said
"Daddy said to be home by sundown"
She said
"Daddy doesn't need to know" I replied
"Daddy said not to go downtown!" Peggy said
"Like I said your free to go-"
"But look around, look around how lucky we are to be alive right now!" I said
I grabbed Eliza's hand and she grabbed Peggy's. We were all running around manhattan. "It's bad enough daddy wants to go to war" Peggy said.
"Look! People shouting in the square!"
Eliza said
"Well its bad enough there will be violence on our shore!" Peggy shouted.
I ran over to the square. "New ideas in the air" I told my sisters.
Some British person was talking about the king or something. Someone stood up to him. I heard him say 'is he in jersey' I laughed.
After they finished every one walked away. I was going to approach the man but he walked away with three other men. I found my sisters again and we started walking until someone jumped in front of me. Burr of all people.
"Excuse me miss, I know it's not funny, but our perfume smells like your daddy's got money." He said." Why you slummin in the city in your fancy heels, you searchin for an urchin who can give you ideals?"
I laughed."burr you disgust me..."
We walked off. He ran back over. "So you've discussed me? I'm a trust fun baby you can trust me...."
I turned around.
"I've been reading common sense about Thomas Paine, some men say I'm intense or insane. You want s revolution I want a revaluation, so listen to my declaration!" I yelled "we hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal. When I meet Thomas Jefferson, I gonna compel him to include women in the sequel!"
I looked at my sisters. We walked off. "Work!" We yelled and giggled.

As we were walked across a bridge I was behind my sisters. I looked over and saw the guy again. He looked angry. He looked up at me. He looked at me then just smiled. I did the same thing. Then Peggy got my arm and pulled me away. I wonder if he will be at the winters ball. I kept thinking about him on the way home. I wonder who he is.......

Hope you enjoyed this chapter of satisfied. I will be making a modern version of this but it will be quite different.
