I jumped out off the car, closed it and looked at the place I had once called home. A white house, the whole place had changed since last time I was here. Seven years ago, and my family had left the house in a rush. When the first Conduit was found, my parents didn't trust anyone. They started to think that anyone could be a one of them, and one day a friend of mine from School showed signs of begin a Conduit. They called the D.U.P. and everyone started to hate us. My friends became my enimies - my parents didn't understand that. So I moved away to my grandparents and in Seattle I meat Hannah. She was a good hearted girl - liked the Conduits, but kept that to herself.
I looked around, the sky was cloudy and cold, but still I could survive this weather. "You made my life so -" but I cut myself off and walked up to the door. After seven years, I hadn't contact my family. But I knew from my grandmother that my father was dead. He had always had a something going on with his heart and brain, but still - I miss him. He was the only one that could feel sorrow from what they did. My mother was another story.
I took a deep breath and nocked on the door. Inside I could hear someone stubling towards the door, and then a elder woman stood in front of me. She had my green eyes and her looks. Father always said that I would be a catch for the boys, but I never believed him. "Hi mom." She gaped at me and stubled forward, taking me into her arms and soft hiccups came out of her throat. "[Y/N]! I - I can not believe... After what I did!" I wrapped my arms around her, queezed her softly and took in her smell. Just like home.

"So what have you been up to?" I smiled and sat down the caffé cup down. "You know Delsin Rowe, right? Good, because well - you know, him and me are -" but what came out of her mouth shocked me. "I am so happy for you! After we had sent the D.U.P. after Jessica - your father could not live with the fact that we chased out own daughter out. And after a few months later, he died. I had to leave with this prise, but Jessica's parents have forgiven me." I nodded and looked at the walls. Pictures hang from when I was a child, sat on my father's lap and giggling about something.
"I hope that you also can forgive me, [Y/N]. I was so afraid of the ... Conduits that I called the D.U.P. but I soon regreted it." I nodded, stood up and walked to the closest window. "I got a job at the D.U.P. as a nurse, but when Delsin got Augestine behind bars I did not have the job anymore. Every day I saw Jessica, tried to help her and make her feel at 'home', but Cordan Cay was not a home. It was a prison," I sighed and looked over my shoulder, mother was now standing and walked over to me. "Your father always said to me that you would be a nice, caring woman - he was right."
As we talked, the day started to near the end. Mother asked if I wanted to stay, but I told her I couldn't. "Oh? Do you leave with someone now?" I blushed and turned around, faced the door and picked up my keys. "Delsin live at the Akomish Longhouse, they all live together - but it is not so bad. It feels just like home, mom! You have to met Hannah, she is so full off life!" my mother smiled and laughed. "I am happy that you have found a place to live, but do not forget me alright?" I hugged her and promised her to come back soon.
As I sat in the car, my phone rang and Hannahs name popped on the screen. I braised myself, pressed the green buton and laid the phone against my ear. "[Y/N]! Where are you?!" Hannah yelled into the phone, I needed to have it two sentimetre away from my ear. "Calm down Hannah, I am-" but she didn't listen to me as she was shouting things in the background. All I heard were Hannah shouting Delsins name and someone shouted back. Abigail! "Hannah! Shut up!" I sighed when she stopped shouting, I could see then innicent look on her face. "I am okay, just ... Talked to my mom." on the other side it was quiet.
After sometime she found her voice again, sounded sad and angry at the same time. "Your mother?" I rolled my eyes, started to drive down the road and stopped the car on the sideway. I couldn't get the police after me, but at the moment I would really like to have a reason to end the phone call. "Yes, but it is okay! She was not mad at me or any- wait, Hannah?" I could hear everyone in the room, so I cursed myself and Hannah. "We will talk about this when I get back." I said as a mother to Hannah, like she was the child and she had done something wrong. In a way she did do that, but she wouldn't know that.
"Babe, are you okay?" Delsins voice were the only thing that filled my ear now. I sighed and nodded, but then I said 'yes'. "Do not worry about me, Del. I am on my way back." Delsin made a noise of that sounded like a yes, but I wasn't sure. "Talk to you later, love you!" and with that I ended the call. As I sat there, the sky started to get darker. "It have rained for days now, but can not really expect something else." I started the car and drove off, hoping that I could make it back to the Akomish Longhouse. Delsin had told me what they called it, but I gave up and called it; Akomish Longhouse. Betty laugh everytime I say it, but no one have told me to stop. Everyone have started to say the same, but the few elder just roll their eyes.
As I got closer, raindrops started to fall down on the carwindow, I cursed and slowed down. The radio was playing songs that didn't feel right in this weather: I chase the sun by someone. I had never paid attention to selebraty or things like that, but Hannah knew every thing about them. It was freaky to listen when a song started she yelled out who and what song it is, even when it came out! And that is my bestfriend, I would never change her.

When I was outside my 'home', the rain had started for good. A small river were swimming near the cliff and over. Sometimes I had asked Delsin who had wanted to stay so close to the cliff, and this place was their home as children. Him and Reggie. The door opened and Betty stood ready with an umburella over her head. She walked as fast as she could, I locked the car and met her half way. "They others are waiting for you." I nodded and gave her a hug, as we made our way inside.
Hannah made her way to me, she didn't look the joly now and I sighed. "Just tell me next time, okay?" she nodded and went to sit next to Eugene. He, Abigail and Hannah didn't really live here, but when the bridg is done they all will find a place to live. "So you finally showed up?" a female voice said behind me, I turned around and saw someone I never thought I would see again. "Missed me, [Y/N]?" she spoke my name in venom like she tried so hard to speak my name. Her red hair was pulled into a short ponytail, grey eyes showed the hatred she always felt for me since what happened seven years ago.
"Jessica."
