I would never forget the words,
She's left us to be at a better place,
I would never forget the pain,
Like a tonne of bricks on my chest.
Tears would never wash away the pain,
Hugs would never ease the ache,
It sounded exaggerated but it was reality,
It was a loss that had dismantled me from the inside.
Regret would forever be my state,
What ifs would be my chorus,
And self loathing would be my fragrance,
Cause with her death came mine too.
