PERCY POV

Today is the day. Thalia and everyone else is finally going to be here! And i got up on time! Score! Ky hissed next to me.

Someone is excited i see. I laughed quietly, seeing as it was six in the morning.

:you have no idea. Give me ten minutes to have a shower and five to get changed and we will head to the lake or forest for a bit sound good?: i asked. Her head popped up.

I wouldn't mind visiting Zander. Ha ha ha, she has such a big crush. I just nodded smiling, earning a shake of the head from the large python. I ran into the bathroom fully clothed and got into the shower. This is so much easier than normal showering.

When i finally got out from under the water i went back into the dorm and found that Harry was awake and hissin quietly to Ky. I only caught parts if the conversation.

.....yeah......today......excited......come.......forest.....us...... Oh gods, i think Ky just invited Harry to see the basilisk he though he'd slain. This is just peachy. When Harry saw me he jumped about 4 foot into the air. I had to try really hard to stifle a laugh.

"Sorry Perce, i couldn't sleep and saw Ky was awake. We just got to chatting and well.....why are you going to the forbidden forest?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. I sighed.

"Get dressed, i'll tell you on the way." He froze up.

"You mean go into the forest without protection?" I looked at him with one eyebrow raised.

"And who was the idiot sent all the way from America to come protect you Prongs?" He unfroze and smiled sheepishly at the groud.

Five minutes later, me , Harry and Ky were walking our way towards the forbidden forest.

"So let me get this right. That Basilisk never died, he just faked it. When Tom riddles diary was destroyed he was released from his bond, and was free. Ky befriended him and he asked if you would be his master. You created a blood bond and now Zander is roaming in the forbidden forest?" He asked surprisingly calmly. I suppose he was just numb from the weirdness of all of it. I nodded and he sighed.

"Do you think it's a good idea to take me to the snake i almost killed?" I chuckled a little at that.

"Zander will hold no grudge against you. He was completely under his maters orders. Don't worry, he has to obey me now, i won't let any harm befall someone who doesn't deserve it." By now we had reached the edge of the forest. Harry looked at me skeptically before sighing deeply. What i said must have been reassurance enough because he headed off into the forest with renewed vigour. After about ten seconds of wandering i felt a new presence. I had learnt that because of the blood in peoples bodies i can actually learn how to sense living things.

Ah young master Perseus, and the boy who lived. It is a pleasure to be meeting you on terms that aren't during life or death situations. Zander said, slithering up to us. Harry looked at the Basilisk before smiling widly.

:you too Zander. I do feel ever so bad about that attack on your eyes though: Hm, who knew harry could talk so formally. Zander snakishly smiled back.

No, us Basilisks heal at phenomenal rates. A few days and i was back to normal. Zander looked back at me, with his swirling yellow-green eyes.

Is there any reason your here? Not that i'm not happy, i'm just a little worried. He said, slithering closer so that we were only an arms length from each other. I placed my hand on his head and rubbed gently, eliciting a lazy hiss.

:no, just wanted to check up on you, and see if you were doing okay out here. Are you?: He looked up and nodded vigerously, like a little kid.

Oh yes. There is plenty of food and nothing ever attacks me. There are a few other snakes around here, but they like to keep to themselves. But thank you master i am very happy. He said. I hit him lightly on the head.
