"Do you know why I called you down, miss Peters?"
"Because you like seeing my pretty face?"
He sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. "No ms. Peters, no. I called you down because I've been hearing a lot of complaints about your behavior in class."
Kat sighs and crosses her legs and arms. The sooner she could get out of here and meet up with her friends, the better. Mr. principal dude always seemed to drone on and on when it came to this kind of stuff. 'Think about your future, mleh!' Give me a break.
"Recently I heard that you called a kid a, and I quote, 'fucking walnut.'" Kat giggles under her breath but shuts up when Mr. Principal dude gives her a look. "Also, 'dipshit, dingus, cock sucker and failed abortion.' Do you have anything to say for yourself? Maybe some explanation?" Kat scoffs and shifts in her seat. "They deserved it." "Oh really?" "Yeah. I won't apologize for standing up for myself." "Ms. Peters-" The bell rings loudly over head. Kat quickly stands up and throws her backpack over her shoulder. "Ms. Peters we are not done yet."
Kat is already sprinting down the hallway by the time he finishes his sentence. He quickly stands up, opens the door, and looses her in the sea of teenagers on their way out the doors. She throws up a middle finger behind her as she bursts through the school doors. To get past the crowd of people, she climbs on top of the stair railing and slides down with the biggest grin on her face. "Mr. Principal man can kiss my ass!" She screams.
Kenzie pops the car door open and Kat slides in. "Drive Bitch, drive!" She yells. Kenzie hits the gas as Andy and Emily erupt in laughter in the back seat. "Outrunning the law again, huh?" Andy comments through laughs. "Oh hell yeah. No way in fuck am I gonna spend my break cleaning white boards, tonight we're gonna party!" A collective cheer sounds through the car. "We're going to Erica's party right? Cause I'm not going to Jay's, I'm not comfortable partying there." Emily chimes from the back. "Yeah we're going to Erica's. I know how you feel Em', I wouldn't make you go there." Kat reassures. Emily smiles sweetly and Kenzie turns up the radio.
After running a few red lights and forgetting some turn signals, they reach Kats place. They file out, laughing their asses off. "Did you see that guys face when I cut him off!? He was like, 'blerg!' Haha!" Kenzie laughed. Kat opened the door and everyone rushed in. "Hey, is it okay if I use your shower?" Emily asks. "Yeah girl, go for it. We'll be in the makeup room." They all run up the stairs and into the makeup room while Emily goes into the bathroom.
Kenzie immediately starts looking through the lipstick collection while Andy looks through the shoes. "Dude, you think we'll have time to game before the party?" Andy asks tossing a pair of flats over her shoulder. "My dude, there is ALWAYS time for gaming." Kat responds with a sly smirk. She tosses her flat bill off her head and teases her hair, trying to fluff some life back into it. "Shit, my hair brush is in the bathroom." "Just go in and grab it, Em' shouldn't mind." Kenzie smirks with a wink. Kat rolls her eyes and blushes softly.
Kat exited the room and heads down the hallway towards the bathroom. Nikko, her dog, followed close at her heels. "Nikko, I am literally just walking to the bathroom, I'm okay." Nikko didn't seem to care and kept following causing Kat to sigh loudly. Nikko was super cute and Kat loved him a lot but he tended to be a bit annoying and clingy at times. And he slobbered. A LOT. And not just your everyday slobber, no, this slobber stuck to anything and everything and stayed there until it was put through a washing machine. You could scrub at it all you want but it does nothing until you put it in the washer on turbo.
Kat picks up one of her hockey sticks lying in the hall and shoots a tennis ball down the stairs. Nikko's eyes bulge and he rushes down the stairs after it. With him distracted, she runs into the bathroom and slams the door shut behind her. She sighs loudly. "Um, hey?"
Kat jumps then spins around fast. Emily shifts her feet, awkwardly holding up her towel. The steamy air from the shower seems to suck Kats breath away. "Uh, hey, yeah, sorry. I, Uh, was just looking for my brush and there it so I've got to go now bye." She quickly snatched up her brush and rushes out of the bathroom only to trip on Nikko. She growls deeply.
"Are you okay!?" Emily asks through the door. "Uh, Yeah, it was just Nikko being Nikko." Kat says glaring at the happy boxer in front of her. "Are you sure?" She asks through the door again. "Yeah really I'm fine, you just finish up and hurry up, Kay?" Kat pushes herself up and stumbles back to the makeup room.
'God, I'm such a stupid idiot. Use your brain dumbass, it's there for a reason.' She thought to herself. 'I hope she doesn't think of me differently after this. She's my best friend so she shouldn't but I can't help but worry . . . Wait, did I take my anxiety meds this morning?'
She runs down the stairs, almost tripping over Nikko, and tears into the cabinet looking for her pill box. Sure enough, there laid today's pill. 'So that's why I've been freaking out all day today. Well, bottoms up.' She swallows it dry and rushes back up the stairs, kicking Nikko's tennis ball down the stairs again to which he chases. When she reaches the makeup room, Emily is already in there, hair still wet.
"There you are, took long enough." Kenzie jokes. "Sorry, I forgot something and had to take care of it. So, what look are we going for tonight? Sexy scandalous? Cool and confident? Chill and ready to kill? Give me some options ladies." Kat orders with a smile. "Well, I was thinking that you'd want to go with a more cool and confident look, ya know, go for a white boy kind of look. Then for Andy we could do a kind of spring goddess look." Kenzie suggests. "I like it, though I'm probably going to go a little more edgy than that. What about you and Emily?" Kat asks. "We already have ours picked out." "Sweet. We meet up in 15 min. For makeup and shoes. Ready? Go!"
