- Naomi -
Christmas break was finally here and I had my things packed and ready to go. All that was left to do was wish Happy Holidays to Harry and the Weasley brothers. Harry didn't want to go back to the Dursleys' and Mr. and Mrs. Weasley and Ginny were visiting one of their eldest sons, Charlie, in Romania. Hopefully I'll get to meet him someday, including their true eldest son, Bill. We'll just see.
"You ready to go, Naomi?" Asked Thelma, standing by our room's doorframe.
I shook my head, "I'm packed for the most part, but not ready yet. You can go ahead and wait for me at the train station. I still gotta say goodbye to some people."
"Alright then, see you there."
"See ya, Tem!" We waved as Thelma left and I finished picking up a few things.
One of those such things were these plush doll pieces. I started working on them at the beginning of November, but still I had yet to stuff and see them all together. They are meant to be doll versions of all my friends that would each come with an accessory or trinket to feel more personalized to their owner. Not to mention, the dolls were only half of the presents. I think I might've tried to bite more than I could chew with these, but I couldn't back down now!
I sighed. "I'll try to finish some of these on the train," I said as I packed the pieces and sewing supplies into one of my suitcases. "*Huff!* That should be everything. Time to go!"
I left for the Great Hall and once I got there, I was spellbound by how it was decorated in beautiful lights, and the numerous trees that were sparkling with ornaments. I looked around the tables until I spotted my friends that were further down the Gryffindor table. I smiled as I walked up to Harry, Ron, and Hermione and greeted them.
"Hey, guys!" I waved with giddiness.
"Hi, Naomi," they greeted back. "You going back home for break?" Asked Ron.
"Yep, just came to say goodbye to you two and your brothers."
"Mostly Fred, right?" He chuckled.
"What do you mean?" Hermione raised a brow.
"Ever noticed how she and Fred give exchanging glances at each other? It's obvious that she likes my brother~" My face went red.
The three stared at me and it brought on even more embarrassment. I tried to act calm and deflect his accusation, but obvious hues of red on my face and my defensive tones convinced nobody.
"How- hah..How can you go making assumptions like that?! He's your brother! L-like, what, I can't just be friends with a guy? Jesus! I'll be sending your presents before Christmas comes, Happy Holidays. Meet you on the train, 'Mione."
I left with that and went to look for the other brothers. I raised my hand to my face and it still felt warm, like that my face was still dust in pink. God, damn you, Ronald! I cursed internally. Why'd he have to go calling me out like that? Regardless, he wasn't wrong. I did like Fred, but I didn't think it was THAT obvious. I quickly calmed myself down before catching up to Percy and wishing him a Happy Holiday. Then, finally, I ran into the twins.
"Hey, Fred. Hey, George."
"Oh, look here, George." Fred playfully nudged his brother, "we're Naomi's last stop."
George shrugged, nudging him back, "probably because she was saving the best of us for last~?"
"Oh, ha-ha." I rolled my eyes. "Jokes aside, I hope you two have a happy Christmas. I'm very excited for the gift I'm sending you soon!"
