Violet awoke in the hospital. Her mother was sitting on a chair, asleep.

"mom?!?"

"Oh my god, Violet! I was so worried!!!

Vivien ran and hugged her confused daughter. Violet tried to sit up but was far too weak.

She moved her hands and felt her neck. It had a big heavy cast on it. She glanced at her wrists, they were bandaged also.

"What happened? What's going on?" Violet whispered

"You were out in an ambulance, and driven to the hospital, after a violent but failed suicide attempt." Vivien whispered back, fighting the tears from pouring.

"Why would I do that?!" cried Violet shaking from fear and sadness.

"I'm sorry Vi, baby, I don't know! You ran straight to your room after school, we didn't even know you were back yet!"

Both mother and daughter were bawling while hugging. They spent 10 long minutes like this, until Violet spoke up.

"How long have I been here?"

"You've been unconscious for 8 days" Vivien said thorough tears.
