New story cause I realized that in my last one things were happening way to fast and I didn't like it. So I'm gonna start again with more in mind than last time. Hope you enjoy!! xD
I screamed as I woke up thrashing widly between my sheets. I"ve had the same nightmare everynight for the past week and I have no clue what it means.
I turned to my bedside table to check my phone and great it was 6:00am, to late to go back to sleep. I got up and slid on my Winnie the Pooh slippers and walked downstairs to see what I could find to eat for breakfast. As I sat there eating my bowl of cereal my mind began to wander back to the dream and what it could possibly mean. I gave up thinking about it just as the sun was starting to peak over the horizon and decided to start getting ready for my first day of senior year.
I took great care while doing my hair and makeup even though I knew it wasn't important. As I finished getting ready I pulled on my black Chuck Taylors, grabbed my backpack, and walked down to the bus stop ten minutes early. When I neared the bus stop I noticed there was already somebody waiting there. I sat on the end of the bench farthest from him and proceeded to make sure I had everything I needed in my back pack.
"Great I forgot pencils." I mumbled to myself.
"I can lend you one if you need it." He replied quietly, obviously nervous about being the new kid.
"Thanks but you don't have to go through the trouble I'm sure my friends have at least one I could borrow," I smiled "My name is Darcy."
"Oliver." He's cheeks were turning a bright pink.
We sat there for what felt like forever before I finally broke the awkward silence.
"What classes do you have? Maybe I could show you around?" I asked.
"I'm not sure I think I have Ms.Patterson for biology first block," He paused fumbling around in his bookbag "Here's my schedule." He handed me the folded piece of white paper.
I opened it and saw that we had the same classes all day.
"We have all the same classes and I would be more than glad to help you with anything you need." I smiled as I handed him back his sheet.
"Thanks Darcy," He spoke softly "It really means a lot that you are helping me I've been the new kid in abunch of schools and I've always had to find everything out by myself."
"No problem I"m glad to help you." I smiled and turned to see the bus approaching and at least ten more kids standing at the corner.
As I was boarding the bus I tripped over somebody's bookbag and fell, sending all my stuff flying. I quickly gathered all my things sat in the nearest empty seat. This seat just so happened to be next to Oliver. I looked at him to find him fighting a grin. I fake scowled at him and turned around to face the other way.
"Come on Darcy, that was hilarious." He let out a laugh that for a moment made me feel all warm inside.
I quickly brushed it off and faced Oliver. He had a huge grin on his face and his blue eyes were literally gleaming.
"Sooooo where are you from?" I questioned trying to get to know a little more about this new kid.
"Ontario," He noticed my puzzled expression "Canada."
"Wow you're a long way from home. I've lived here since I was born same city, same town, same street, same house." I said boredly.
"Awhh come on it can't be that bad." He laughed as we rounded the corner to the next stop where a girl who I recognized only because she was in my biology class last year got on and sat down in the seat in front of us.
We sat in silence for the rest of the bus ride. When we pulled up to the school Oliver immediateley got up ,and though we were in the back of the bus, was amongst the first to get off the bus. He was waiting for me by the flag pole when I finally found him.
"Hey sorry for leaving you back there I just really don't like buses." He explained as we began walking to class.
"Oh ok," I mumbled "You might wanna go up to the front desk and get your locker and combination though. I'll walk with you if you want me to."
"Ok then lead the way." He gestured down the hallway letting me step in front of him.
"More like this way." I said moving his arm to face down the left hallway.
"Oh ok." He laughed that same amazing laugh that he used before.
Before we could even take off walking, I spotted one of my ex boyfriends walking arrogantly towards me with a look of pure fury on his face.
"Oh no." I whispered to myself.
I grabbed Oliver's arm and dragged him down the hallway pretending I didn't just see the guy who ruined my life over a year ago.
"Hey, Darcy," I heard him yell out from begind me "Why not introduce me to your little friend? Let me tell him the truth about how much of a whore you are."
That was it if I didn't get away from that bastard right this minute I would turn around and unleash all hell on him. I was about to turn around when Oliver slid his arm from my grasp and looked Cole straight in the eye.
"Hey man leave her alone." He said trying his best to be taller then Cole but failing.
"Or what?" Cole snarled.
Oliver then leaned forward and whispered in coles ear so low and fast I couldn't pick up what he was saying. Well whatever he said must have been enough because I watched as the color drained out of Cole's and he turned around , head tucked down in defeat.
"What did you say to him?" I questioned, genuineley curious about what could make Cole, who i'm pretty sure didn't have feelings, scared.
"Oh nothing just layed down a few rules and listed the consequences for not obeying." He was still fuming.
"Ok then." I said continuing on our way to the front office.
I sat waiting in one of the chairs in the office as Oliver talked nervously to the secratary. After a few minutes he turned around with a small slip of paper in his hand and walked to where I was sitting.
"Do you know where this is?" He said handing me the slip of paper.
"Yeah follow me."
How could I not know where that locker was? It was the one right beside mine. The same locker that stayed empty every year. We quickly put everything in our lockers and headed to class. School didn't seem to be a problem for Oliver. All day the teachers would ask him to stand up and introduce himself ,and everytime he would stand up cooly and introduce himself with the same calm tone he used all the time.
By lunch time I was already impressed with how many friends he had already made. Not that I doubted him but usually this school rejects the new kids and they end up waiting all year just to make a few friends. Although he had half of the senior class motioning for him to come sit at there table, he politely turned them down and came to sit down beside me. We sat in silence for a few minutes while we ate, but it was a surprisingly comfortable silence.
"So how's your day going?" I asked even though I already new he loved it here.
"I love it here." He replied happily taking another bite of his sandwhich.
