"Beep beep beep beep" "Beep beep bee-" as I hit the snooze button on my alarm clock I realize today is the day. The day of Hatfield High school. I slump out of bed and run to the bathroom before my brothers get to it. I run the small cramped room and brush my teeth. As the bathroom gets steamy, it's get warm as we'll. I hop in the shower and embrace the warmth before it leaves my body. I didn't realize how long I've been in here until I hear my brother Noah banging on the door. "Melody!! Hurry up I want to pee at some point!" he shouts. "Alright alright I'm getting out!" I wrap the towel around myself and get in my room. I look at the uniform and a note my mom left. 'Mel, take the boys to school and after school take the bus! Love momma' I grouch at the ugly red, black and silver skirt and polo uniform and throw it on. I put my hair in a fishtail half braid leaving out the pink highlights and throw on a bracelet my grandfather gave me before he died. I grab my long shoulder black skull bag and was headed out the door until my other brother John taps my shoulder. "Don't forgets us!" John and Noah both yell as they run and fight over the front seat of my black civic. as I drive away from my comfort zone, I start to dread. Do I really have a chance at this school?' I thought to my self. I drop the boys off at school and head over to my school right next door. I pull in the parking lot and park in the back. as I approach the school I look at the posh, rich kids going and I thought 'You're screwed Melody Calloway.'
