She Realizes Her Feelings (Leonardo)

I walked into the dojo to see Leo meditating, and smiled as he didn't notice me here.

I took a seat a few feet away from him and went into a lotus position. I slowly relaxed and while it seemed like minutes, 2 hours went by.

My eyes shot open when Leo cried out and fell back. I covered my mouth to stifle my laughter when he looked at me with wide eyes.

"What's wrong Leo?"I barely spoke without letting out a few giggles. He snapped out of his trance and sat up straight, rubbing his arm in embarrassment.

"I didn't notice you here..."He replied nervously. I tilted my head with amusement and looked at the watch on my wrist.

"You haven't noticed me in here for 2 hours Leo...you must have been deep in meditation to not notice me, "I commented.

"Well I couldn't see you so, of course, how could I have noticed you?"Leo raised an eyebrow. I chuckled, shaking my head.

"The eyes are worthless when the mind is blind, "I replied while smirking at him. His eyes widened and he nodded. I stood up, but before I could walk, Leo had grabbed my wrist and held me in place. I look at him and stared at him with confusion.

"Leo? Are you ok?"I asked. He blushed as he looked at his hand around my wrist and he quickly let go.

"I'm sorry, but...can I tell you something?"He asked softly. I smiled before nodding and sitting next to him.

"What is it you want to talk about Leo?"I asked.

"I don't feel like I'm good enough to be the leader, Sensei thinks it's my burden to carry because I was chosen to be the leader. I can't act like I want to because I have to be the responsible one, the role model....and my brothers don't get how hard I try for them to just listen. They don't know how hard it is for me to be the leader, being the one to blame for team failures, how bad I want them to be safe and to listen just once. How they call me fearless when I'm not, and how Raph always told me who put me in charge... Sometimes I wish I never was chosen to be the leader, maybe the team would be better off with Raphael."Leo sighed heavily with sadness. I placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled sadly.

"Leo, I understand what you go through. You try to be strong for your brothers on the outside, while on the inside you are scared for them, you want to be there for them, protect them in any way you can. I know how you and Raph are, you both have a tough relationship. But honestly, Raph's anger masks his kindness. He's afraid to have you guys see him as weak if he ever chooses to reveal his kindness to you. He is scared of you guys judging him for it. He loves you all very much, but he doesn't know how to show it so he wouldn't be embarrassed. They all can't think the same as you do, every single one of you guys is unique in your own way. Mikey always tries to bring laughter and happiness to the team, to help relieve the stress of situations. Donnie always tries to give you amazing information which you all ignore and call boring, Raph is always trying to toughen the others up, and you try to keep them together."I sighed heavily before continuing, with Leo listening closely.

"Leo, you are an amazing turtle, just like your brothers and father. Leadership can be both a blessing and a burden. But it takes time to understand that role and accept that most things you can't fix by ordering people around. Everyone has their own perspectives or opinions, but you must understand your role, you may not accept it right away, but in time you'll see that you are the proper brother for the role of leadership. Raphael does not think before going into a fight, Donnie thinks too much and doesn't use much force, and Mikey is too playful and carefree for the role. Leo, you are patient, caring, loyal, understanding, strong, and of course, nobody is perfect."I held his hands in mine and we both blushed, looking away from each other. Not seeing each other blushing.

"Thank you...Lea, thank you for being my...best friend."He smiled sadly, an emotion flashed across his beautiful irises before disappearing.

"No, thank you, for allowing me to help you, "I replied, hugging him. not noticing a heavy blush on his face. He quickly returned the hug and we released each other. I stood up and left the dojo.

When I reached my door, I softly smiled. My heartstrings tugging, oh how I already fell for him. I sighed heavily and went into my empty room, only I inside. I flopped onto my bed hugging my pillow, a small blush on my face.

I hope he likes me just as much as I like him.

That night I fell asleep knowing I fell in love with my best friend.
