Luke:

I had never driven so fast in my life.  My car made sudden turns as I followed my GPS to the Teraxudo Hospital, barely paying attention to the roads in front of me.  When I finally reached the hospital, without any police catching me, thank goodness, I parked my car in the visitor’s section and jumped out.  I ran to the doors and bumped into an old man on his cane, causing him to fall over.  “Sorry!” I called out without a backwards glance.

The lady at the front desk barely looked at me.  “Room 2113,” she said robotically.  Did Noor and I look that alike?  I took a quick look at the map of the hospital on the wall and located room 2113.  I bounded down the hallways and got to her room.  I poked my head inside.  Sophia and Drew were already there.  How did they find out so quickly?  Sophia looked at me and stared at me in shock for a moment.

“Thank you,” she breathed in such a quiet voice that I was surprised I understood what she had said.  I nodded curtly and went to the doctor next to Drew. Noor looked like she was sleeping peacefully which was a relief. She was steadily breathing now, and her heart rate that showed on the monitor seemed fairly normal to me. Of course, I had no doctor experience so she might be dying for all I knew.

“Is she okay?” I asked the doctor. He nodded.

“She will be fine. I'm going to go check on some other patients. If she wakes up, press the big red button.” He pointed to the wall next to the bed, where a red button was on the wall.

The doctor left and all of just stood there silently. For about a fraction of a second.

“What happened?” Sophia demanded. “I want every single detail.”

“Um...well, Noor went down to open the door-”

“How did she get to your house?” Drew interrupted.

“I actually don't know,” I said, suddenly remembering how evasive Noor had been. “She wouldn't tell me.”

“Okay, go on. She went to open the door...?”

“Yeah, and this guy named Drake was standing there. He goes to our school. And he just suddenly started choking Noor and I called the police and then I stabbed him in the hand, and then he disappeared.”

“You called the police and then stabbed him!!!??” Sophia shouted.

“No, I yelled for help and no one came and then I stabbed him and then I called the police,” I said, remembering.

“How long did he have her in a choke hold?” Drew asked, like he was some sort of expert.

“How should I know? A few minutes?” I said.

“A few minutes? Oh. No wonder she’s been out for so long,” Drew said. Maybe he was an expert. He sure sounded like one.

“What are you, a doctor?” Sophia asked with undisguised loathing.

“No, I used to wrestle. I know about these things.”

“Sure you did.” Sophia muttered. Then she turned her attention back to Noor. “When is she going to wake up? It's been forever!”

As if on cue, Noor opened her eyes and squinted at us.

“Why am I here again?” she whined after a few seconds of looking around.

“Because Luke here decided to wait a few minutes before doing anything about you being choked,” Sophia said curtly.

“I was trying to get help!” I exclaimed angrily.

“Whatever,” said Sophia.  “Someone go press the red button.”  Nobody moved an inch towards the big red button.

“Why do we need to press it again?  Did I miss something?” Noor asked curiously.

“Yeah, we need to press the button if you wake up.  So the doctors know,” I said helpfully.

“So you wanna go ahead and press it?  It’s right behind you,” Sophia said like I was a little kid.

“It’s right behind you too,” I replied in the same tone.  Drew rolled his eyes and pressed the button.   A nurse ran in, saw Noor sitting up in her bed, wrote something on a clipboard, and left.  “That was fast.”

             “Yeah, thanks Drew,” said Sophia.

“You could’ve just pressed it yourself,” he said annoyedly.

            “No, I couldn’t, because I-”

“Stop fighting!  Geez!  Why do you guys all hate each other?” Noor exclaimed confusedly.

“Did you know Drew used to wrestle?” Sophia asked Noor.

“Yeah, I think he told me once,” Noor said calmly.  “Why?”

“Told ya so!” said Drew, smirking.

“Okay, like I care,” said Sophia, rolling her eyes.  Noor glared at Sophia.

“Stop being so rude,” she said, shaking her head disapprovingly.

“I’m not being rude,” Sophia answered. Before Noor could say anything, another doctor came.

“Glad to see that you’re okay. You can leave now. The doors are over there.”  He pointed to the door which was right next to us.

“Um... thanks?” I said. The doctor nodded and left again in a hurry.

Noor quickly got out of bed. She looked around the room and shuddered.

“I hate hospitals,” she muttered, walking quickly past us to the door. She practically ran out of the hospital in her hurry to get out. The rest of us speedwalked after her.

“Noor!  Hold up!” Drew called out.

“What?!?” she said, turning quickly.  Sophia almost bumped into her.

“You’re still in your hospital gown,” he said, nodding down at her white gown with blue polka dots.
