Chapter 16

Olivia's POV:

I slowly opened my eyes to only be blinded by the sun. I looked over to my bedside table for my phone; I noticed a note fold upward to face me, it read,

"Good morning Olivia! (: I got you a muffin and coffee from the café down the street. It will be waiting for you downstairs, as so will I. (;" XOXO- Shawn. *Ps. Texts aren't romantic.

As I read the note, I smiled to myself thinking, he's such a dork.

I hopped out of bed and went straight into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I didn't bother changing just yet, because I didn't know where we were going.

I walked downstairs and started looking around for Shawn. The boy was no where to be found.

I went into the living room and saw Johnson and Kylee on the couch watching Step Up Revolution.

"Hey love birds, have you two seen Shawn this morning?" I asked.

"When I got up he wasn't in bed" Johnson replied.

Umm, strange. Maybe that was when he left to get me a muffin? "Okay thanks!" I said.

I decided to check in his room. As I was walking down the hall, I heard footsteps run across his room.

I instantly smirked as I walked in to see Shawn "sleeping" he had a note on his bedside table.

"If you're reading this, Olivia, you took too long to wake up. I ate your muffin and I'm asleep."

"Oh darn! I guess Shawn's too tired for date today!" I said as I smiled.

"No I'm not! I'm ready!" He said as looked me up and down. "But I guess you're not" he busted out laughing.

"Well, I would've got dressed if I knew where we were going!" I laughed back at him.

"...but I'm assuming we're going to be on or in the water, so I'm going to get ready!" I said, noticing he was in his swim trunks.

"Wear something that you wouldn't mind getting dirty!" He called out as I left the room.

Shawn's POV:

This isn't some ordinary over-romantic date. Olivia's in for a surprise. She thinks we're just going to the beach or something, but little does she know I got up earlier to fill up water balloons and some with some surprise paint.

While Olivia was getting dressed I went to put everything in the car. Gilinsky told me about this open field of grass and that's where our date will be. I had a basket full of food and sweets and in one cooler was the balloons and the other was filled with drinks.

I came back in and Olivia was eating her muffin I got her. "Are you ready?" I asked. "Yep! I can't wait to go to the beach! Let's go!" She said excitedly.

I hope she doesn't get upset that we aren't going to the beach...

We got into the car and Olivia said "I'm so thirsty!" As she reached for the cooler with the balloons. "NO!" I yelled. "What?!" She replied. "That's the one with just ice in it. It's in this one" I reached into the cooler and got her a drink. "Uh, okay? Thanks" she said weirdly.

We started heading towards the meadow and Olivia still doesn't know that we weren't going to the beach. I hope she won't be too upset. I pulled over and parked the car so I could put on her blindfold.

"Shawn, what are we doing?" Olivia said giggling. "Olivia... I have to tell you something. " I started. "What is it Shawn?" "Well, we aren't going to the beach..." I said scratching the back of my neck awkwardly. "Where are we going then?" She asked confused. "You'll see baby, but for now. Put on this blindfold, it's a surprise"
