The Noc shines bright

Delph's POV

We have been trekking the whole day trying to find fresh water so far it has not gone so well. I have followed vega through these woods and the look in her eyes kills me when we don't find water she seems so disappointed in herself when I feel completely the opposite about her she's brilliant, smart , strong and amazing.

Something drags me out of my thoughts a pair of eyes staring me in the face, I've seen these in a book it must be a Jabbit. "Look out!" I hear Vega shout has she grabs the elemental sword and swings it at the Jabbit missing by an inch each time the Jabbit realises it isn't getting anywhere with vega so it turns and comes after me I scramble away trying to find a hiding spot until it reaches out and knocks me from the left sending me flying into a nearby tree it advanced on me until it was so close that I could smell the stench of its breath.I thought I wasn't going to survive this until Vega came running in from behind and stabbed right through its heart turning it to dust instantly.

Vega walked over to me and said "Would you like me to kiss it better or shall I get the adder stone?" Due to the wonkiness of my right leg. To which I replied " the adder stone please although I wouldn't mind having a kiss." As I said this a cheeky grin crept on to my face.

Vega's POV

The adder stone heals the wounded by holding the stone over a wound and thinking of a happy memory that you own, before now it was of my 5th birthday and all of my family was there. My Mum, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, my brother John and of course Delph. But since not one of my family members are with me anymore I decided I needed a new one and it happened last night with Delph in that tree at that exact moment, that was the happiest moment of my life.

I walked back to Delph with the Adder stone and held the stone over his leg and remembered last night I was in a world of bliss, I didn't know I was finished until I felt something on my cheek it was Delph's hand then he asked quietly "what were you thinking about Vega Jane?" I could only reply with the truth "You, last night in the tree, that kiss" I said will a small smile. He looked confused as if that could never be my happiest memory. I elaborated by saying " The only person I have left is you Delph and I need you." I could see he was slightly embarrassed now but what harm could that do.

We picked up our bags and I consulted the map and stated that if we head straight west then we should arrive at a lake with a water fall flowing into it and we should approximately be there by night fall. That is where we shall set up camp for the night.

4 hours later

It was almost dark then at last we found water I am so excited and I can tell Delph is too and can see it in his eyes, also now I can wash and get clean again. I scanned the area and spotted a grassy overhang where we could sleep with protection against the wind and passing Jabbits.

Even though it is dark the Noc shines brightly on the lake. Noc is an old term for what most call the moon, I believe it has special power and brings good fortune to those who listen it is said that if you look closely enough you'll be able to see the friends and loved ones who have passed on. Ever since my grandma died when I was little I always believed in the the Noc and I never have and never will.

After I finished daydreaming and Delph was recasting up I decided I would go for a swim in the lake, it was quite a shallow lake so nothing big could make it's home in these waters and I was going in dangerous or not. I didn't have much choice of what to wear into the water it was either nude or bra and pants and I much preferred the second option. I walked cautiously over some rocks to take of most of my clothes and hide them so nothing could get at them whilst I was in the water. Most children were trains to swim when they were young as me and Delph used to love going to lessons every tuesday morning.

As I stood up on a tall rock and dove into the water a wave of pleasure rippled through my body the water was warm but cold enough to soak my muscles from a hard day trek. I thought I could swim over to the waterfall and use it like a shower as I got there I stared up at the falling water and felt a strange feeling. It was weird how something beautiful could be in such a place of dread and horror.

I spent a good half hour standing under the falling water, letting it run over my body as the whole sensation was new and I loved it! I suddenly realised that I had left Delph all alone I started to swim back to where the lake met the little overhang but something grabbed my arm at first pure panic washed through my mind I turned to see Delph standing up tall in the waterfall. Before I could say or do anything I was pulled into a mind blowing kiss under the waterfall my hand slowly made my way up the back of his neck and got tangled in his golden brown hair, his muscles rippled in the light of Noc as his hands roamed my back. All I could think of the pure blissfull feeling running through my veins.

His lips were latched on to mine and as he ran his tongue along my bottom lip my mouth opened with a gasp and he took his chance, his tongue slipped in and he found his way to every corner of my mouth and I his. This was completely new to me and from what I new it was new to Delph too.
