Some people believe that it was only jack who died at the river, his body deep in the black water floating into the moonlit water as the moon calls to him. Little knowing what was happening just a few yards away.
The dark woods seemed to get more menacing the deeper anyone traveled, what once seemed to be a peaceful place now looked as if it were something from your nightmare. The clearing was a deep grey despite it being winter and the lack of foliage seemed odd. Due to the fact that this wasn't inhabitable by any means.
Despite all this one simple dark figure paced on the ground dragging his scythe along the dead ground smiling. His thoughts raced through his head as he seemed to think of all the possibilities for vengeance. No one would suspect he could give life to one who died once. Clearly it was only the man in the moon who could.
"Come child, the fun shall begin soon," his dark erie laughter echoing through the woods to no ones ears. Stabbing his weapon to the ground he watched as around the shallow dent he had made almost come to life as cracks began to flow around the previous symbols he had marked. Then everything came to life. The outer carvings falling deeper into the earth and the center seemed to rise, the shadows seemed to collect around the figure that was halfway submerged into the center area. Now well above the ground almost like an alter to the deep forest.
The previous figure smiles showing his sharp white teeth his Cheshire like smiles falters for only a moment. When he made those ruins in the ground he expected it to work how he had planned, resurrect the most evil thing there is. But what he saw did not seem that way, in fact just looking at the small figure in the center sent chills and memories he did not want to remember through his head.
'Just like my daughter.' He whispered before going closer and picking the girl up. Her skin was a sickly white porcelain, like a ceramic doll her hair was the same unatural white as her skin. But what seemed off was her eyes, they were an unnatural red that seemed to glow in the dark. She opened her eyes as shadows seemed to dance into the dark red irises. They were hauntingly beatutiful as she stared up at this strange man.
Without a single word from either of them, the male seemed to diaseaper taking the now risen girl with him.
