In a small town called Deckerville located in Michigan, lived (YFN). YN had just moved here about 3 months ago. As her and her family adjust to their new town, YN is forced to go out and associate with some of the kids around. The past 2 weeks weren't that great. She met some people but didn't really share a bond. Today, she would meet a group of people unexpectedly.
YN's Pov:
"I'll be back mom." I shouted as I grabbed my jacket.
"Alright." She shouted back. "Be careful and be home when it gets dark." She said as she walked in the living room.
"Mom. I'm sixteen." I groaned as I pulled my hair from out my jacket. "I can take being out after dark."
"I don't care, YN." She said crossing her arms. "I don't want anything happening to you. Now be careful and make sure your home no later than 9." She kissed my cheek.
"Yeah yeah whatever." I mumbled then closed the door.
I started walking down a path that I noticed near our house two days ago. It was leading in to the woods. I don't really know why I was walking through here but I figured I'd try something new. As I was walking, I heard something cracking. Almost like someone was stepping on branches. I looked around but seen no one. I shrugged it off and continued walking until I heard it again but in the trees. I looked around once more but still seen nothing. In the blink of an eye I seen someone pop up in front of me which cause me to scream.
"Shh. Calm down." He said calmly placing his finger over his lips. "I won't hurt you."
"W-who are you?" I asked still a little frightened from what had just happened.
"I'm Jack." He smiled. His skin was a little pale and his teeth...were really pointy. "Jack Gilinsky." He said.
"Uh I'm YN." I muttered cracking a small smile. He was pretty cute.
"What are you doing out here?" He asked scrunching his eyebrows together. "Hardly anyone walks through these woods."
"I was just bored. I noticed the path a few days ago and I figured why not take a walk through it." I shrugged as I started walking again. "Why wouldn't anyone want to walk through here? I mean it's just woods. What's the worse that can happen besides maybe being mauled by a bear and what not."
"It's just not likely seeing a pretty girl like you walking through here everyday." He chuckled. He thinks I'm pretty? "I'm guessing your new here in Deckerville."
"Yup. I moved here 3 months ago." I sighed. I looked around and noticed we were approaching a lake. "Well are there any other teenagers here?"
"Well who said I was teenager." He smirked. I looked at him and backed away just a little. He laughed. "It's okay I'm 17. To answer your question. Yes. would you like to meet them?"
I figured it would be my only way to make friends. I thought about it. I really need friends. "Alright. Let's go." I shrugged.
So we walked to an isolated house that was located further in the huge land. The whole time we just talked a little to know each other a little bit better and I was really liking him. Jack had told me about how there was a bunch of people, well not a bunch, there's about 8 other people who lives with him.
"Why do you guys live in the middle of no where basically?" I asked. How can you live here. It's just so far out. "Not to be all in your business or anything.."
"Nah. It's okay." He said running his hand through his hair awkwardly. "Well uh...we're just not normal." He mumbled.
I looked at him confused. "Well everybody isn't normal." I said. "So what level of normal are we talking about?"
