Brisa -
She isn't good enough.
Growing up for Brisa, it was always "Gabbie" this or "Gabbie" that with her parents. She was just about begging for Jack's attention half the time, and only getting it when she was around 1-5 or when she was telling on Gabbie.
She's constantly being compared to Gabbie, Jack, and Phoenix online and being told she'll never be as good as any of them. This doesn't help with her insecurities.
This is another reason why she doesn't like being alone, thoughts will start seeping into her head and it begins to make her believe that she's not good enough for anyone.
Virgil -
His personality.
Growing up, he was always the little brother out of his quadruplet brothers. His personality was always the darkest, and he was always teased for it by both his brother's and his friends.
Tom -
His family
Growing up, his family wasn't the most functional. He constantly hid them, so being so open about his family to just about the entire world, is a little different for him. It's also not exactly a comfortable thing for him to do.
Talyn -
Just about everything.
Growing up, they were never really accepted by their family for anything. They're constantly over-shadowed by their brother and the only thing their family likes about them, is their boyfriend. It taught them zero self-worth when they were growing up, and even though they hide it well, they have a lot of insecurities under their confident personality.
Grayson -
His looks.
Growing up, he wasn't always this guy being praised on Instagram. He was a scrawny and tall kid with a bunch of acne. He was often bullied for his looks and even though he's convinced himself that now he wouldn't be bullied, there's still the small lingering doubt there.
Ashton -
His self-worth.
Ashton's father left when he was around four years old, and he's been the man of the house ever since. His mother depended on him for just about everything a wife would, and a little bit more. He wanted to help provide for the family, but being so young, he couldn't do much. His mother started to blame him for everything that was happening to the family, and it brought down his self-worth. He doesn't believe he can do anything right now, and if he does, it has to be by his mother's standards, as he didn't get her affection when he was a child. He looks for it now.
Noah -
His personality.
Under Noah's blank expression and monotone voice, is a bubbly and generally all around happy person.
Where did this person go?
This person vanished after years of relentless bullying and harassment. It was replaced with this monotone, emotionless Noah. That way no one could bully him for being too happy, or too sad, or really anything.
They began avoiding him in the halls, and really everywhere, and that's exactly how he wanted it, although he does get lonely quite often.
Deja -
Her looks and her personality.
More specifically, her skin tone. Growing up as a celebrities daughter isn't easy. Ever. Especially not when your own mother got harassed for even being mixed and DARING to date Corbyn Besson. So, as she was growing up, more and more kids began bullying her for her skin tone. Then social media began doing the same, until eventually it just became one of her insecurities that she hid along with her personality, which was a wonderful mix of Mika's and Corbyn's until the children at her school ruined that too.
Harper -
She's not good enough.
Growing up, Harper was always yelled at. Whether it be for going out to a party too late at night, or not helping take care of Reese. There was always a reason she was in trouble. Eventually, she stopped being bad and her parents went right back to ignoring her. So, she increased her level of rule breaking, and made it a normal, just to get attention. Although, it brought down her self-worth even more than being ignored, she was still getting attention.
Asha -
Her portrayal.
Same as Wyatt, really. She's either a Riverdale star's sister or Wyatt Seavey's girlfriend. There's no in between.
Leon -
His looks.
Same as Deja, growing up in a dominantly white neighborhood, he was often called racially derogatory terms, and bullied for his skin color. He eventually moved away from that neighborhood, but it still didn't help with the fact that he'd already gone through ten years of relentless torture at the hands of the other kids.
Rowan -
Her happiness.
Although it was a fun episode about bullying for Girl Meets World, it was revisiting just about her entire school period for Rowan. Although she tries to still be just as happy as she used too, she's definitely dialed it back in fear that if she didn't, she'd never be considered normal.
